"One of Scarborough’s most beloved artist collectives, Reaching Intelligent Souls Everywhere (RISE), will hold an all-night poetry slam and series of live performances inside the Scarborough Civic Centre’s industrial-sized loading dock. The collective will also debut its documentary film Within.
RISE is a youth-led grassroots movement that provides opportunities and spaces for youth to develop artistically, personally, socially and spiritually. RISE creates safe and inclusive spaces that foster self-expression and healing through performance arts and storytelling.
Within documents the stories of Scarborough residents and their experiences of immigration, success, challenge and love. The film aims to capture the experiences that have shaped these individuals and who they are within."

I went out to shoot a sunrise this morning. It was rather lackluster.
However, as I was pulling my car out onto the street, I saw this right across from me and thought it would look pretty neat.

I like taking shots of old derelict buildings like this one. It looks as though it used to be a hardware store. There was a construction crew working inside, and the parking lot has recently been blacktopped so I guess this building wont be derelict for too much longer.
