This is one of 4 layouts I did as part of the LOAD sketch challenge. I got completely carried away because it was such a simple design. It was the perfect spot and size for all those "2 photo" events that I wanted to scrap.
Usually I like to do my monthly wrap up on the last day of LOAD, but I was having technical difficulties yesterday. I'm really happy with how many layouts I completed! I love LOAD! Used papers & elements from Mommyish Frolic kit.

Inspiration : The usual suspects
[The background story]
I kinda went with the prompt on this one...he's the usual suspect who makes me ...
I just thought the hashtag was kinda fun since it's everywhere right now.

More Information
Since the prompt for today was "Lunch", and I had a busy day, I decided to go for an easy page in my travel journal. This is the first of 3 cruises I'm documenting in this journal, and this book is the first time I've done a travel journal like this. I must say, it's a lot of fun, and a lot less stressful than some of my more planned out scrapbook pages.

Day Fourteen
Use a different person/point of view for journaling. Well...I sort of did that.
Journaling reads:
"most people don't understand my situation. they want to judge it & criticize it. why is it so HARD to understand? matt & i bought a house while dating. we figured out we were better off as roommates than a couple. we live together - in peace. jon & i are dating. okay, so maybe it is a little complicated - but for now it works. i've got two awesome dudes...life is good. 10-11"
*Additional info...I dated Matt for 6 years, so buying a house wasn't a spur of the moment decision. We are great friends and continue to get along...perhaps better now than we did while we were dating. Lots of people don't understand how we can live in peace, especially since I'm dating somebody new. It makes us laugh...it's not that complicated.*

Day Four
So I don't know that I totally compared & contrasted...but I tried to in my journaling.
I've got a good guy...and he's definitely an original.
This is the same crazy size as the others, 6.5 x 11.
The top rose picture is elevated with pop dots. It's one of my favorite pictures!
Journaling reads:
"Jon bought me this yellow rose when we "officially" started dating.
We quickly dubbed it "the love fern".
He could have bought red or white-
but he bought yellow.
He could have gotten a dozen-
but he got one.
He could have done nothing-
but that's not him.
Unbeknownst to me, he pressed the rose so it could live forever.
My little love fern. :)

Not to be confused with the song, "Closing Time". Loading up a variety of passengers while still trying to maintain the schedule in the Busy morning rush hour on the Racetrack.
i have been wanting to use that spray color for a long time, but i am way to cheap to spend $7 on ea bottle. So i bought a travel spray bottle at target and added acrylic paint and water. Wah lah! It looks great. i put down sticker letters and then peeled them back up after sprayin. Thanks for pushin me Lain...that spray bottle has been sittin around for months.
Just a last minute load check. Everything is strapped in, including the Brompton.
Now we just need to drive back from Rotterdam to the UK...
My glamourous assistant shows how the film is then slotted into the camera spool so that the hole hooks over the spoke. The film is then rewound slightly to tighten it up.
The perfect film has now been loaded.
If you're doing doubles then rewind until you feel the end tug and the nothingness beyond. Open up and reload in exactly the same way. Some people draw a line with an OHP pen to mark where the film crosses the centre of the camera, but I think this method works just fine without.
Thus endeth the mighty Jaypeg lesson

Day 23
Inspiration : Candlestick
Somehow when I first saw the prompt I thought of the candles that I love to burn and why I like them...mainly because of their fragrance. So...I went with that in a somewhat similar way.
