Desert Spiny lizard relaxes in the shade. It was about 100 degrees when I took this shot.

Side Blotched Lizard getting some sun at Red Rock

The first time I saw this lizard on the bridge, it was dark brown, but by the time it had crossed the bridge, its skin had turned a beautiful gold and azure colour.

A side-on shot offers a better chance of the entire critter being in focus when shooting with a large telephoto lens.

"las traigo muertas..."

I was amazed to see this lizard given the lack of sun and cool temperatures in the morning. I had only seen one dragonfly out by then due to the weather.

It isn't a good photo but the lizard was over a drainage ditch and impossible to approach. It is colourful.

I found this little beauty in our backyard just now, can't resist not to take the picture :-D

 

I have no idea what kind of lizard it is .. probably it's called Jacky Lizard? *cmiiw*
