We were on the island of Ameland for a short holiday. On one of the beaches there was a set up for a coming wedding ceremony later that day. The sky was blue and the sun shining. A perfect day as start of a new married couple. I hope they can live their dreams. Ameland, 2019.
Again, I would like to thank everyone for your support, views, faves and comments!
22/08/2015; A friend of mine won this trivia, which gave him tickets to take 10 people in total on a roundtrip through the IJ harbour, and I was lucky enough to be invited by him to join on this roundtrip.
An opportunity I obviously won't slide. So once more; Michel, thanks mate! :D It was warm in the boat, but I wouldn't have wanted to miss this anyway.
There’s no way I was born to just pay bills and die.

Say hello to Rockstar Zoumba. We met in Castillon-du-Gard, a beautiful little village on top of the hill in the South of France and he was the pawfect model anyone could wish for.
Looking out of the rainy window today, I am missing my fellow Barkas, the sun and the incredible food we had (yes I LOVE French food). To meet fellow dog crazy photographers from all over the world, to chat all day long and to learn from each other, this is what the Barka's are all about. I can not say how incredible happy I am to have found my tribe.
So here it goes: I am Bridget and I am a #Barkaholic :D

As I posted several landscapes of the Sahara I am going to share this personal picture with the community as I feel some of my followers will appreciate it.
The desert gets really cold once the sun sets, temperature drops easily by 25C within an hour.
So we lit a bonfire and enjoyed watching one of the clearest firmaments that you can get on this planet, simply humbling and mind blowing.
In the back you can see our home for more than a year, a Volkswagen Bus we named FENNEK, due to its air intake "ears" in the back and its color.
It never ever broke down, an unbelievable robust design.
Hindsight we are both very happy that we did this as of today you cannot repeat it due to political issues.
The experience at age 28 gave us a real appreciation of the wealth, comfort and safety we are enjoying in Western Civilisations.
Something we took for the rest of our life with us.
