The cherry blossoms are going away fast. I can see some of the blossoms in Richmond are gone.
So go see them and take a few shots while you still can, my Vancouver friends.

the experience is only as special as you wish it to be or remember it to be....
this area is special to me in more ways than a photo opportunity.
when i was 3 or 4 years old , i remember my father bringing me here to fish. and even though
i only stayed in the car, i can remember vividly hearing fog horns and seeing the bridge in fog as we sat in the car (not too different than what you see here)
and anxiously awaiting the fish to bite. it was such a special precious childhood memory for me with my dad here.
i hope in sharing these photos you will find your own reasons for enjoying your part of the world and sharing with us your piece of memory to why you are passionate about what you see, feel and document.

35mm 1.8 cropped square, converted to mono and a very special thanks to my friend who photoshopped the really high contrast area on the tip of this mans nose where it'd been overexposed.
Just because I put up a flower shot doesn't mean I've gone soft.
It's just that I was filled with happiness and joy.
And I thought a flower shot would express my innermost feelings the best.
After reading a few of the comments on the last one...
I decided to do something about the beating my 'street cred' was takin'.
So I walked up to this guy and I popped him real good.
Then he said 'WTF are you doing?'
To which I intelligently and sincerely replied 'WTF does it look like I'm doing?'
Then... because he hadn't pulled a gun by this time...
just for fun...
I told him he was 'standing on my street.'
You know... just to see what kinda picture I'd get.
His reply?
Well I can't write that...
Needless to say... why do you have to wait so long to get X-Rays?
They need to invent 'Drive Thru X-Ray' joints.
'Uh... I'll take two super el diablo burrito's, an order of curly crisps and a head X-Ray please...'
Nah... this guy was cool.

I was takin' a look at some paintings he was exhibiting at the Retro on Roscoe street fair.
I was kinda gettin' on him for bein' shy.
We had some fun takin' a few pictures.
