i used to own a pen that looked like a paintbrush.
i loved that pen. when i would use it to write,
it felt as if i was painting. i liked that feeling.
i need to find that pen once again.
i want to paint beautiful pictures with words.
i have some painting to do ...

Such a wonderful day our girlfriend camera club enjoyed at
the always inspiring Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Several artists are in the garden this week plein air painting. We enjoyed
visiting with several of them, and will attend their artist reception Thursday evening.
This is local artist and gallery owner Dolores Justus at work in the late afternoon light.

a great shopping day ... wonderful little shops
in downtown Dade City, Florida.

i have not been a good participant
in "shades of inspiration" this week -
the "shades" group is the first i joined
on flickr and still my fave. this week is
about "motion". i am adding this to the
group as i'm thinking that the motion to
give a hug is one of the most important
in anyone's life.

looks like a fab, fun, inspiring group!
i love this path. it reminds me so of a childhood path.
that gravel path to grandma's house.
that path where i learned to ride a bike.
that path i used to skip and hop and chase my sister on.
this path takes me back to those carefree, childhood days.
this path takes me into my heart - to the vault of cherished moments.
an anniversary-of-the-heart-kind-of-moment as
i walked this path on this fine, perfect November morning.
how i loved this day and this place.
do you ever notice those paths that are overgrown ...
left behind and forgotten?
another reason i loved this path today
is that there was evidence of life ...
of people using the path ...
traveling back and forth to their homes ...
family and friends gathering on any given day ...
the everyday stuff of life going on in this little tucked-away cove ...
what a special place of inspiration for me on this day!
