It's been almost 10 years and I can no longer remember the name of this band that was rockin' on Broadway during the Salsa Festival in Redwood City. I do remember that that the lead singer used to be the main guy in a band named Malo. Their tune "Suavecito" was a big hit in the Bay Area during the early 1970's. You can check it out here:

Even though this pic is from the archives, it occurs to me that I will remember 2020 as the year that music kept me sane. Rock on.

Outdoors with a huge crowd, the return of Australia's legendary band. It doesn't get much better. Midnight Oil, The Domain, Sydney, 11/11/18 and 17/11/18
Students and college employees shared their best skills on the mic during the first ever Live Band Karaoke during the noon hour in the Student Center! Participants selected a song and performed on lead vocals while accompanied by members of Live Band Karaoke rather than the standard karaoke machine. Members of the audience particularly got into it during performances of Outkast's "Hey Ya" and Sandburg Welcome Center's Katie Meeker performing Tina Turner's version of "Proud Mary." Thanks to everyone who came out today to perform or cheer from the seats. Let us know what you'd like to see and do at Sandburg.
