There seems to be hundreds of Cabbage Butterflies around ... it's the most common one I see. Not much else in the butterfly department. Flitting here and there ....hardly stopping to check out any flowers. But, every so often..one lands and if I hurry, I might get a sort of okay shot of one.
This guy chose a brilliant yellow pom pom Marigold in a pot on the patio...one or two landed on the watering can... or the pots themselves ...hardly any on pretty things. So, this was pretty good.... I didn't notice the ant 'til I uploaded the photo.

~~~Color and Appearance: When the wings are open, the dorsal side in the male displays a creamy white coloration with a single black spot on the primary wings, whereas the female is rather pale yellowish, with two black spots placed somewhere around the center. When the wings are closed, the ventral side exhibits a yellowish tinge along with some black speckles.~~~
So...this is a little lady....

where to start...i saw the two women coming in the restaurant,where i work,on Feb 3rd.
right away,i could tell that one had cancer and was going through chimo treatments,and the other woman was the "driver",someone who volonteers to drive cancer patients to their treatments.
the ill woman reminded me so much of my Mother when she was going through her chimo treatments.and by the looks of it,if i rely on how it went for my Mom,that poor woman has very short time left to live,sadly.
but regardless,i thought a busy restaurant (lunch rush-hour)was the last place that this woman should be at,but it might be the last time she'll be in one, so..
i'm a manager in the dining room,but stay near the "block" area,where all the meals come out,and make sure they come out right,warm,and in a reasonable time.i let my assistant supervise the dining room.
i was hoping the 2 ladies would be sitting far from where i was.but they couldn't have been seated any closer!
i had to walk fast to the washroom a few times,to wipe the tears running on my cheeks.
no time to cry during the rush.
i would occasionally walk by them,couldn't help myself,secretly checking to see if both women were happy with what they were eating.
the ill woman was eating a chicken-rice soup,but it had taken her at least 20 minutes to eat half of it. i wanted to offer her some frozen yogourt that we have.frozen yogurt seemed to be my Mom 's favourite when she was sick...
then,like she had read my thoughts,the "driver" waved for me to come to their table.so of course i was there in a flash,being ready to get them whatever they wanted.
the "driver" asked me if there was any kind of cold dessert that the sick woman could eat!! so i gladly offered the frozen yogourt,and told her it would make her dry throat feel better.the sick woman smiled and agreed to the frozen yogurt.
i told the ladies' server that i was going to take care of the yogurt,not to add it to their bill.
i myself brought the yogurt to the lady.and again,she thanked me and smiled.
and again,i had to run to the washroom....
i after told the server that i was going to pay for the whole bill....
that's one luxury you have as a manager,where i work.you can write off a meal,here and there,and it does not come out of your pocket.it's definitely a privilege,as long as it's not abused.
the "driver" was quite surprised when she saw that they were charged zero dollar,and asked me why i did so.
i looked at her and told her that i lost my Mom to cancer,and i understood,and all i wanted was to pay for their bill.i also asked her if she was indeed the sick woman's "driver"and she said she was.
it's unreal how that woman reminded me of my dearest Mom....
it'll be 5 years tomorrow (Feb 15,2004) that she's been gone...
je m'ennuis tellement de toi Mom...
the woman ate the whole cup of yogurt,and when i saw the empty cup,though happy she ate it all,i had to run to the washroom yet again...
je t'aime,Mom...
Banded Demoiselle - female - I was sat at Martin Mere WWT hoping a bird, of any type, would come close when I looked down and saw this little lady, who very nicely sat while I took her photo.
Klara is a sweet daughter of Helena ..., her cheerfulness is contagious.....

This was a memory maker for my keeps ...
Target has new Moxie Girlz Friends dolls & I saw this animal print dress & had to get one for my Rurukos. Unfortunately, they made the new dresses in the same style as the old ones, just different material, so I think this is the only one I'll end up getting. It's a shame because they're cheap & fit Ruruko perfectly. The little dog & the dish came with it.
I redressed Evie & Ally, so they don't look so washed out now. Since Bryn is still on my desk, I decided to take a picture with all 3 of my pale skin Rurukos, they're such cute little girls.

For me it's a picture of friendship. I have no clue of what they are talking about. They were just sitting there having a little chat. Girl stuff probably.
As a parent, the first day(s) are fear filled of raising a child, let alone 5 years. We are truly blessed.
My first pale skin Ruruko. She's not the first one I bought, just the first one that was actually shipped to me, LOL. I'm not a fan of the Lolita look unfortunately, so I don't love her clothes. I just wanted to get one picture of her before I changed her into something else. I wish Petworks or Azone would do a clothing line for her of cute separates.
