Lithuania. Opposite the town of Traika, on a small island in the middle of the lake, is the castle which served as a fortress which was unique in the Middle Age.

The sculpture Neringa. 'Neringa' is holding two sailboats on her shoulders, and honors the region's sailing traditions. This was an unusually beautiful sculpture.
Klaipeda, Lithuania is the third largest city of Lithuania and the largest port city. Over the past couple of hundred years it has been controlled by the Polish, Prussians, Germans and Russians. Architecture reflects all these periods; the Russians / Soviets were the last occupier and their shadow of poverty and neglect still shows in about one-third of the buildings we saw.

this castle is called Trakai Island Castle it was built in the 14th century, this beautiful historic castle is located in Lake Galve. The Battle of Grunwald was what brought this castle in lithuania to its end.

Sts. Peter & Pauls' Church; commissioned to celebrate victory over the Russians in 1668 by Michael Casimir Pac, the Grand Hetman of the Lithuanian armies. Containing over 2,000 astonishing stucco mouldings representing miscellaneous religious and mythological scenes, the Church was consecrated in 1701.

Presidential Palace; the official office and eventual official residence of the President of Lithuania. The palace dates back to the 14th century and during its history it has undergone various reconstructions, supervised by prominent architects, including Laurynas Gucevičius and Vasily Stasov. In 1997 the palace became the official seat of the President of Lithuania.
