CN 518's crew has completed their work at Cameco and prepares to head back east towards Cobourg with the empty hydrogen fluoride androxus tanker. These cars are part of Cameco's production of Nuclear Fuel Rods and the cars feature 3 placards and armour plated ends.

A lovely comment from my friend Sharon inspired me to rename this image.

I think the new title captures the essence of nature's handiwork here much better than "Dew Drops 2."

According to the philosopher Zygmunt Bauman, liquid modernity refers to a fluidity that, far from leading us to a "lighter" living, it sends the weight of concreteness away, but doesn't give the counterpart. Where everything is fluid, transitory and without reference, everything "depends on context" and the solid bases to support us are no longer found. In order not to drown, one must learn to discern. Or we'll follow the fate of Sisyphus until the death of everything that exists.

I drove out to Muriwai hoping to get a glorious cloud-coloured sunset but the sky cleared completely as sunset approached. Fortunately I was able to capture this fisherman braving the surf out on the rocks, beautifully silhouetted by the rapidly dropping golden orb.

Many thanks to all the Flickr photographers that constantly inspire me to try various combinations in my quest for new images. After spending days wandering through abstract captures, I grabbed acrylic paints and shiny foil. Watching the liquids flow together gave me an image that reminded me of geographical maps of an alien landscape.

Walking back I was fascinated by the perfect reflections of the cliffs in these small watery rock pools. There is a really good photo there waiting to be taken, so I will return, perhaps earlier in the tide cycle.
