Ubuntu, a linux interface loaded on my PowerBook G4 laptop. Now when I boot I am offered the opportunity to boot OSX, Linux, or a CD/DVD. Using linux expands the abilities of my Mac and gives me something new to learn. It offers me the opportunity to use great software without worrying about breaching copyright. Ach ja, da will man seine geupdatete Debain Testing hochfahren, und der hübsche neue Kernel kackt ab. (Eingefrorenes System beim Initialisieren eines USB-Kartenlesers.) Kein Problem, sagt man sich, deshalb hebe ich eben immer wieder den alten auf, damit ich ein Fallback für miese Zeiten wie heute habe. Also flugs zum Ausschalter gegriffen und drei Sekunden gedrückt halten, dass die Kiste auch ausgeht, und dann schön neu hochfahren lassen -- um die BIOS-Meldung zu sehen, dass etwas mit den CPU-Einstellungen im BIOS nicht mehr stimmt. Ach, das Leben eines Computerbenutzers ist doch voller fröhlicher Momente...
(Ob der Wrackkernel wohl heimlich die CPU klaut?)
2003年，大学中。几乎没有人理解我为什么要装难用的GNU/Linux操作系统，太折腾。而不用到处可以下载到的，“免费”的盗版Windows。不是我装B，而是他们是不懂，也没法解释。FOSS和DIY的乐趣只有实践才能体会到。
现在他们应该明白我为何在GNU/Linux上投资了吧？
非常喜欢Fedora Core 1的墙纸，当时很习惯Gartoon这套图标。

I like the default wall paper of Fedora Core.
2003, when I was in college. Almost nobody understood why I installed such a weird OS they have never heard of. Most of them use free Microsoft Windows 2000 pro or XP Pro, of course illegal. Worked my ass off to make everything work and get away from Windows. They just don't know the power of opensource and the joy of DIY. Now they should understand the ROI:)
I like freedom, that's why I embrace tux.

Primera imagen HDR aceptable (que no es para tirar) que consigo. Las 5 imágenes que la generan no tienen la alineación corregida y por eso el resultado es tan sumamente cantoso, espero solucionarlo en breve. La exageración del efecto se debe a que el algoritmo que se utiliza se comporta diferente a medida que aumenta la resolución, y no he sabido solventar ese cambio.
