Three colour reduction linoprint. 210x297mm. Movie poster design for Stanley Kubrick's film 'The Shining'. Inspired by the work of Nick Morley I began to experiment with colour in this linocut. I made sure I was also able to have an effective black print after all reductive cutting had been made.

When cutting hold your arm at an angle of approximately 45 degrees. It is advisable to practice on a blank piece of lino before you start carving your stamp. Slow down on bends but do not let go, if needed use your other hand to rotate the lino. Try to carve out from the narrow end to the wide one , from the edges to the middle: controlling your movements.

Linoprint of murmation, this phenomena can be witnessed above the West Pier, usually at sunset. I tried to recreate the pattern of movement in the curved lines, I also used this same print in depicting the movement of shoals of fish, placing both prints alongside each other to highlight the similarities between the terrestrial and marine. I also incorporated monoprints of the West Pier.

An A3 lino cut, which was printed several times in different coloured inks. While I hope to add more depth and colour to each of the prints, the artist inspiration came from Neil Shigley, who created black Lino prints of the homeless. I also worked with smaller reduction lino prints in my course

Inside the barns. Purbeck Valley Festival is on a farm yard and the barns are used for bars and stages - very handy when you get a wet weekend!
