A hidden gem explored and shot in West Lothian (Scotland), just before the sun was taking over the whole scene.
Harthope Linn which is located in the Harthope valley in Northumberland. It's actually quite a bit further west of where the OS map locates it. I was initially very confused (not difficult these days!), since there is a waterfall around the point on the OS map, but it isn't this one!

Taken Dorset Heathland, This image has been taken on a local walk close to my home address during lockdown. I would normally be in Portugal this time of year so this is an opportunity to get reacquainted with some local nature reserves.
The cottage on the far side was known as Queen Victoria's Tea Room and later as the Princess's Tea Room after Queen Victoria's granddaughter who married the owner of Mar Lodge at the time.
In October 1850 Queen Victoria, accompanied by Prince Albert, attended a deer hunt in Glen Quoich as guests of the Duke of Leeds.
Linn of Dee, where the River Dee cascades through a narrow gorge, topped by the Gothic styled Linn o' Dee bridge.
No trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway is complete without a stop at the Linn Cove Viaduct. The viaduct hugs the face of Grandfather Mountain and is recognized internationally as an engineering marvel. The views of the viaduct are simply awesome, and the fall colors were in full swing during this stop.
A spectacular and neglected fall call Linn jaw on the Linnhouse Water out of Edinburgh and close to Livingston.
A bit of a tricky route to get here but certainly worth it. Light wasn't at it's best and autumnal colours still a bit to go.
So, I opted for a ten minute exposure here to emphasise the dark, almost black, water.
