I loved this cheese arrangement and spent over an hour photographing it from over 60 angles. The angle makes a big difference! No interest, no follow-up, no purchase! One of the plates at the Ryland Inn. Doesn’t seem like much, but it was designed to be small tastes that work together well complimenting each other. Some might say it is frivolous, but food and its presentation is an art. Dining is an art and when you take the time to learn about the presentation and then pair it with a complimentary wine eating becomes an experience!

Captain Bahr’s
Bahr's landing has a line of soups I wanted to present on one post card.
Along with the soup I wanted to also have an essence of Bahr's landing which is a landmark restaurant by sandy hook park, NJ.
That’s why I added some elements of the restaurant to give a nautical feeling to the overall design.

Soft shell crab frightens people more than makes them hunger for it.
I could have had this crab lost in a sandwich or covered with something, but by utilizing the white plate and the small green dots the crab has a particularly pleasant look to it.
I also purposely cropped the plate to add interest.

I love chocolate soufflé, especially with a nice cigar, Connecticut wrapper and port
Craig Sheton makes the best soufflé. When you poke your fork into it just oozes luscious chocolate!
I have dreams about this with my cigar and port!

It’s the shapes in this shot followed by the structured silver handle that add interest to this tomato and watermelon dish. Doesn’t sound appetizing but it was mouth watering! I’ve noticed as the chef’s progress in their knowledge of food and flavors you get increasingly interesting combinations of ingredients, textures and flavors.

I had to photograph these Christmas cookies in their box for a few magazine articles. I wanted to generate interest, but not give too much away. After a few set changes and lighting alterations I’m happy with the results!

I had to photograph table set-ups in Central Park and make them interesting.
The park was nice and added a neat environment to present OME’s ability to turn an everyday environment into an event. By shooting with a telephoto lens I was able to compress the tables in the foreground and make an interesting shot.
