Down in the Segre valley, the closed fog does not let up, I escape to the north looking for the limit, here at times the sun rises, it is nice to notice it even shyly, greetings and thanks
El Parque Natural de la Sierra de Baza está situado al nordeste de la provincia de Granada, limitando con la provincia de Almería y formando con los relieves de las Sierras de los Filabres la continuación hacia el este de las cordillera béticas.
Se ubica en un entorno semiárido de la Hoya de Baza, y se caracteriza por unas precipitaciones escasas y de distribución irregular, elevandose hasta superar los 2.200 metros sobre el nivel del mar, siendo el Calar de Santa Bárbara con sus 2.269 metros de altitud la cumbre de este Parque Natural.
El Parque cuenta con una extensión total de 53.649 hectáreas, distribuidas entre los términos municipales de Baza, Dólar, Gor, Caniles y Valle de Zalabí, todos ellos en la provincia de Granada.

Selva de Irati, Navarra, España.
El bosque o la selva de Irati (Iratiko oihana en euskera) es un bosque repartido entre el norte de Navarra (España) y los Pirineos Atlánticos (Sola y Baja Navarra) en el suroeste de Francia.
Por su parte española está situada en el valle del río Irati, entre los montes de Orzanzurieta y Roncesvalles al oeste, y el monte Orhi al este. El límite sur lo pone la imponente mole de la Sierra de Abodi. Los principales accesos son por el oeste por Orbaiceta (Valle de Aézcoa) y por el este por Ochagavía (Valle de Salazar).
Se trata de la mayor masa forestal de Navarra y uno de los mayores y mejor conservados bosques de hayas (Fagus sylvatica) y abetos (Abies alba) de toda Europa. A pesar de ser un bosque explotado forestalmente desde los siglos XVI-XVII, el respeto y el buen hacer de los habitantes de estos valles ha hecho que se conserve en total plenitud. Existen dentro de la zona diversos espacios protegidos: todo el Irati es una ZEPA (Zona de Especial Protección de Aves), así como zonas protegidas como Reserva Natural o Reserva Integral del total de 17.000 ha del bosque.
The Irati forest or jungle (Iratiko oihana in Basque) is a forest distributed between the north of Navarra (Spain) and the Atlantic Pyrenees (Sola and Lower Navarra) in southwestern France.
For its Spanish part, it is located in the valley of the Irati river, between the Orzanzurieta and Roncesvalles mountains to the west, and the Orhi mountain to the east. The southern limit is set by the imposing mass of the Sierra de Abodi. The main accesses are to the west through Orbaiceta (Valle de Aézcoa) and to the east through Ochagavía (Valle de Salazar).
It is the largest forest mass in Navarra and one of the largest and best preserved beech (Fagus sylvatica) and fir (Abies alba) forests in all of Europe. Despite being a forest exploited by forestry since the 16th-17th centuries, the respect and good work of the inhabitants of these valleys has made it fully preserved. There are several protected areas within the area: the entire Irati is a ZEPA (Special Bird Protection Area), as well as protected areas such as Natural Reserve or Integral Reserve of the total 17,000 ha of forest.

It is amazing how life is like a video game. After you complete a major task in life you learn there is a larger and greater task waiting for you to conquer. Life has a way to push you beyond your limits to places you never thought you'd achieved. When trials hit aways remember it is preparing you to go beyond you limits.
Side note: Sorry for the late post. It has been a long day. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Le hameau de Muna (appelé aussi le « village des bandits ») est composé d’une dizaine de maisons installées vers les pentes rocheuses de la punta dia Spusata. Ce hameau est fondé vers 1740 en raison de l’exploitation forestière qui est entreprise dans ce secteur. Au XIXe , malgré l’accès limité à un sentier muletier, le hameau de Muna est doté d’une église et d’une école rassemblant jusqu’à une cinquantaine d’enfants. La population vivait de ses propres ressources (cultures, oliviers, châtaigniers .. ) A partir de la seconde moitié du XXe siècle, le village est progressivement déserté alors qu’une centaine d’habitants y étaient comptabilisés jusqu’en 1960.

Was fun to see this Bobcat recently. Not really the type of picture I was going for, but was happy how this turned out considering I accidentally shot this at ISO 5000, which is much higher than I ever want to be for static shots.

En la vida no hay límites, somos nosotras las que nos limitamos.
La vida conlleva riesgos ...no existen los obstáculos, eso lo inventamos nosotras mismas para que nos sea mas cómodo decir “Yo no puedo con esto o esto otro”.
Nos resulta mas fácil rendirnos antes que luchar por algo, así nada nos hará temer en la vida.
Lo mismo pasa en el amor, adoptamos la posición de no amar y no querer tener compromisos, así no perdemos, aunque tampoco ganamos.
A night hike led me to this view of the sandstone formations at Zabriskie Point in Death Valley National Park. In the gulch the eroded ground was very hard as if packed by a steam roller. The mounds of sandstone are off limits to hiking. So with respect to the land, I snapped some panoramas from the gulch. The moon wasn't due out for another 2.5 to 3 hours, and the wind was picking up. It was getting colder and I was getting hungry.
A 5 shot panorama of the foreground with a 12mm ultra wide lens, and 10 shot panorama of the night sky shot at 28mm (DX) lens. The sky was shot at Mojave National Preserve in April 2017. The main foreground was shot in December 2015. Edited in Lightroom, auto stitched in Microsoft ICE, and layered in Corel Paintshop.
On a clear night in Death Valley a lot of stars appear after twilight. Even in Dec when most of the Milky Way is below the horizon, it's sill visible going across the sky.

Stevie may have been born and raised in Dallas but when he quit school and moved to Austin he embraced them and they he. His self taught singular style triggered a meteoric rise in a genre that had stagnated and reintroduced a whole generation to blues with a flourish. The music scene is still alive and well in that small Texas town. This statue by Ralph Helmick, located at the intersection of Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail was an awesome find. Check out the 'shadow', to me it signifies that his playing days are over, but the music lives on. Oh, and if you find yourself along the river in Austin at night and stumble across this monument, bring a flashlight because it's dark as heck!
