Photo taken at dusk from near the summit of Sliabh Donard [ 850m ] in the Mourne Mountains, NI. The view is n/e out over Dundrum Bay with the lighthouse [ dont know its name ] just visible on the finger of land sticking out into the Irish sea. I do liike how there is very little difference between the colour of the sky and the water and how the clouds are reflecting on the sea in the foreground. The photo is a bit "noisy"but I like that as it was getting dark and I think it adds a bit of atmosphere to it. Im sure Ill find out if people agree with me or not!!! No harm either way! Its still one of my most favourite places though and I think its pretty spectacular! Do visit if you can!

A plover exploring the low tide seaweed at the rocky end of Taroona Beach, Tasmania. I've never really thought of plovers as sea birds as you always see them in open fields, but you do see them near the shoreline often - maybe they liike seafood.

A shot from last Sunday which I really liike. My friend and I had been walking along the shoreline and on the way back to the car we found this place. The smell of pinetrees and grass and sea and the sound of the wind in the trees and the sunset :) Shot just before midnight in Jeløya, Norway.

okay first of all lemme just say that. IM FUCKING TIRED. ive been working with this photo (styling, making the dress, taking the photo & editing) since 2.30 am. and now its almost 6 am. and ive runned all around behind my house to find the perfect spot to take this fucking picture >...<

I tried to compose the shot so that there wouldn't be any tourists in the frame. Most of these sights were flooded with tourists so it was quite difficult sometimes to photograph. Still it was an awesome waterfall.

The Cassowary is a large flightless bird most closely related to the Emu. Although the Emu is taller, the Cassowary is the heaviest bird in Australia and the second heaviest in the world after its cousin the Ostrich and all three birds are flightless. The Cassowary is covered in dense two quailed black feathers that from a distance looks like hair, these feathers are designed for protection in the birds rainforest habitat, it keeps the bird dry and safe from sharp thorns found on many rain forest plants. The Cassowaries hiss and whistle to communicate and clap their bills or they can rumble when making a threat. These birds are extremely difficult to observe or study in the wild as they are quick to retreat in their thick rain forest home therefore little is known of their natural behaviours. They appear to be most active at dawn and dusk when they are searching for food but they rest in a spot of sun during the day. The Cassowary has been said to be the most dangerous bird in the world because each foot has three toes and has a dagger like claw on the inner toe that is up to 4 inches long, they can slice open any predator or potential threat with a sing kick. The powerful legs helps these birds run up to 31 miles per hour through the dense forest underbrush, they also have the ability to jump nearly 7 feet straight up in the air and are good swimmers. Breeding season is around June to October when the female becomes more tolerant of the males, the male struts in a circle around the female and calls to her in a series of low booms. They stay together for a few weeks until the female lays her eggs, around three to five and they are green in colour. The female moves on and it’s the males responsibility to incubate the eggs, up to about 60 days and look after the chicks when they hatch, they stay with him for about 9 to 10 months when he chases them off to live on their own.
