The rose ornament has been deboxed, and is unlit. I have removed the satin ribbon, for a clearer view of the ornament itself. It is very stable sitting on its flat base.
The Enchanted Rose Light-Up Ornament was in plentiful supply at my local Disney Store on its release day (both online and in stores), Monday March 13, 2017. I bought one, and show it alone and side by side with the comparable Lenox 25th Anniversary Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Rose Ornament. The Lenox ornament I got from Macy's in November 2016 for $24 ($23.99), and the DS ornament is $40 ($39.95), so it costs 67% more. They both have glass domes that are not removable, and are about 5 inches in overall height. The DS dome is slightly taller, and quite a bit wider. Like the Lenox ornament, it is about the right scale for a 12 inch doll. The DS ornament has etchings on the dome, since it is based on the live action movie, and the rose lights up. It is quite expensive for an ornament, and since it so large and heavy, it can't really be hung from a tree. But is also quite beautiful, and an accurate depiction of the movie enchanted rose.
