I took this photo for the official LEGO Christmas card back in August. LEGO sent it out to 17,000+ employees this past week! Thanks for the opportunity Brett Wilson and Shelly Corbett with Toy Photographers.
It’s so exciting to see my image creation being enjoyed by so many LEGO fans.
This past Tuesday evening there was a knock at the door. I opened it to find a giant box delivered all the way from Billund, Denmark. I knew LEGO was sending my some of the cards they had created from my image but I couldn’t believe what else they sent.
They shipped us six LEGO sets!? All Christmas themed.
We received the coveted LEGO Star Wars Christmas X-Wing fighter, Gingerbread house, Christmas Village Fire Station, a Lego Christmas tree, ornament, and another Christmas themed mini carousel set, along with a stack of cards and envelopes. All I can say is I was truly humbled and blessed.
My kiddos and I have built the smallest set together and when they get out for Christmas break we plan on building the bigger sets. I still haven’t decided whether or not to open the x-wing...😦😊
Anyhow, Merry Christmas folks!! Ours came a bit early this year.

I've been thinking about the birth of Jesus all day because it is Christmas. I listened to a podcast where the commentator mentioned how common it is to see a donkey and an ox in medieval paintings of the nativity. He explained that in the law of Moses the ox is considered clean and the donkey unclean. In paintings they symbolize that the Savior came to redeem all people, both Jews and Gentiles.
I wandered into this church on a whim while exploring Florence. The art in this city is seriously overwhelming. Actually there is a real condition called Stendhal Syndrome or Florence Syndrome, a psychosomatic disorder caused by looking at too much glorious artwork.
The Cappella Sassetti is in the basilica of Santa Trinita in Florence, Italy. It is especially notable for its frescoes of the Stories of St. Francis, considered Domenico Ghirlandaio's masterwork.

With less than 4 days left until Christmas, I figured it would be appropriate for my first build back for Christmas break to be focused on the true essence of Christmas: the birth of Christ. I can’t describe the joy I’ve found in Christ. He lit the world that Christmas Day and so let us do like wise. #lighttheworld
