A spectacle like this You don’t see every day and I believe this doesn’t need one of my stories in addition. It not even needs a good composition of the frame what I could not manage better because of my present position. So I invite You just to feel the magic of this moment.
Ein solches Schaupiel sieht man wirklich nicht jeden Tag und ich glaube, es bedarf nicht noch einer meiner Geschichten als Ergänzung, Es braucht nicht einmal eine gute Bildkomposition, die ich auf Grund meiner Position nicht ermöglichen konnte. Light show at the Supertree Grove. A fascinating experience.
Gardens by the Bay is a large nature park in the Central Region of Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir. At the core of the part is Supertree Grove. Supertrees are tree-like structures that dominate the Gardens' landscape with heights that range between 25 metres (82 ft) and 50 metres (160 ft). They are vertical gardens that are home to enclaves of unique and exotic ferns, vines, orchids and also a vast collection of bromeliads such as Tillandsia, amongst other plants. They are fitted with environmental technologies that mimic the ecological function of trees: photovoltaic cells that harness solar energy which can be used for some of the functions of the Supertrees (such as lighting), similar to how trees photosynthesize, and collection of rainwater for use in irrigation and fountain displays, similar to how trees absorb rainwater for growth. The Supertrees also serve air intake and exhaust functions as part of the conservatories' cooling systems. The Grove offers a nightly light and music show, called Garden Rhapsody. The trees, branches and wires were covered with ice leftover from an ice storm one winter morning.

Every time I visit France I look out for the conditions to make an image of this kind, and I never tire of it. My only wish is to put a silhouetted figure onto this 'stage', human or animal.

Discofeeling im Folkwang Museum in Essen. Lustig, ich fühlte mich wieder in meine Jugendzeit versetzt und hatte die Songs von damals in den Ohren. Nur, dass mir damals nicht schwindelig von dem Stroboskop-Licht wurde. 😉Nichtsdestotrotz war es ein wunderschönes Spektakel als abertausende von Lichtpunkten durch den Raum wirbelten und hin und zurück geworfen wurden.

Disco feeling at the Folkwang Museum in Essen. Funny, I felt transported back to my youth and had the songs from back then in my ears. Only that I didn't get dizzy from the strobe light back then. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful spectacle as thousands and thousands of light points swirled through the room and were thrown back and forth.

2 shot pano taken on stanage edge in the derbyshire/south yorkshire peak district last year
a poor day for photography with flat light but rewarded with this fine light show after a 12mile hike i have a few more good ones from here to post later on
My K5 often comes to work with me on a late shift in the hope that something will present itself to me to photograph when the shift is over. So seeing the fiery looking sky I headed up the Lyle Hill after work and took two shots at the extremes of my wide zoom (which I am really getting fond of). This is from the 17 mm end and I'm really quite pleased with it
