The Materiaal 64 Plan V is an old EMU from the Dutch railways. The trains were introduced in 1966 and ran until 2016. In total 246 were built.
My model is about 194 studs long 8 studs wide and built to 1:45 (0 scale)
It features a Powered Up motor and lightsensor to allow automated stopping at stations.
Stickers are currently still missing, but those will follow as well with more photo's at LegoWorld Utrecht.

Andy is enjoying his new analog synthesizer from Dementia Labs. The Plasmasound is a theremin-controlled bent circuit system, i.e. handmade electronic randomness controlled by one fixed light sensor (hence the big light bulb that can be dimmed) and one wand light sensor (in Andy's right hand here). It's interesting that in music like photography, analog is where much of the experimentation is. Video from Dementia Labs
The pic was taken inside the partyroom of the Loisium, maybe the most unique wine museum in the world....the walls on the left and right side are fully mirrored...and the peleng-fisheye was doing the rest.
My girlfriend in the middle is listening to the mystical sounds & noises...if u touch the lightsensors next to her head u can start different jingles....let´s say compose the music...the light also alternates.
But don´t forget to have a good glass of wine there....:-)

Street art Frankey gives the city small inconspicuous surprises. Sometimes quite large, sometimes very small. Every week a photo with one of his recent works appears in the supplement to the newspaper Het Parool. A great opportunity to take a closer look at his work. Sometimes you have to search to find it and sometimes it is already gone.
Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner are a duo of cartoon characters from the Looney Tunes series of animated cartoons. To be seen in the Jordaan in Amsterdam. On a light sensor!

Streetart Frankey
Streetart Frankey (pseudonym of Frank de Ruwe) is a Dutch artist who wants to positively influence the street scene with relatively small and often inconspicuous works of art.
He grew up in Nijmegen, father was an inventor at Philips Netherlands. He studied at Delft University of Technology (Industrial design). In daily life director of and working for design collective Natwerk. In Amsterdam, many of his works in the street art category can be found on buildings, streets and bridges, often in addition to existing building elements. He himself about his work;
"I want to push boundaries. Art has no boundaries, that's why I like it so much."
In 2019, a special page has been dedicated to his art in Het Parool for a number of years; first he took care of that section himself, later he had to leave that work to others because of busy work. A little later his work Eberhard van der Laan appeared above the entrance of Paradiso.
One of the works that inspired him is the Boomzagertje in the Leidsebosje, a work by an as yet unknown artist.

This is the "Kodak Instamatic 300" camera. It is a 126 instamatic type camera that was produced by Kodak from 1963 to 1966. Although this particular specimen was made in Canada, other countries that also manufactured this camera include England, and the U.S.
The 300 - 400 series was Kodak's effort at producing a higher-end line of 126 instamatic cameras. Many high-tech features (for the 1960s) include: a built-in selenium (light) sensor, a built-in light meter with a "low light" warning, automatic exposure (1/40th or 1/90th of a second), film speed sensing (64 or 160 ASA), as well as a built-in/retractable flash gun (which required AG-1 or "peanut" flashbulbs). Also, the camera requires two "AAA" batteries in order to operate.
The 126 instamatic (originally called the "Kodapak") film format was introduced by Kodak in 1963. It was designed to be an easy loading film cartridge, primarily intended for snapshot photography. The instamatic line of cameras and film proved to be very successful, and introduced a new generation to low cost photography. Infact, the popularity of the instamatic format eventually led to the development and introduction of the much smaller, compact 110 film format in 1972.
Most of the 126 instamatic cameras produced were generally cheap, plastic, lower-end cameras. This is a fine example of one of the higher quality instamatics that Kodak produced. The chassis of this camera is constructed almost entirely out of metal, and has a nice well built, soild feel. Despite its appearance, this camera is actually a lot heavier than it looks.

I always check the area in a thrift store where they sell phone cords and chargers. I have found a few photographic cords mixed in from time to time. The store clerks are young enough never to have ever seen such cords, no blame on them.
This weekend, I found a remote sensor and PC cord for my trusty old Vivitar 285HV flash sitting among a throng of out-dated phone chargers. This sensor is very handy for pointing the flash around the room for bounce-light and have the sensor facing the subject. Hard to find online anywhere lately.

After experimenting with the DIY high speed HIVIZ lightsensor to capture waterdroplets, it was time to try the sound trigger.
