I washed the sprouts and set the dinner table!! Yes, we have the family for New Year's dinner this afternoon so, for the moment, all nice and quiet but it's going to get noisy when my daughter and son arrive with their lovely children ... I can already hear the noise!!

What's gone? Well, when walking to Troon I would normally take this route along the beach but not today!! The sea has come much for onto the coast than it ever has before!!

I met a number of people turning back at this point who, like me, couldn't believe that this route along the beach was now not possible!!
