The night before the Chariot round, all the main deities of a Hindu temple get to go on a round around the temple on a temperately constructed chariot called "Sapparam".
The Lord Line and Marr buildings stand forlornly next to the silted-up and overgrown St. Andrew’s Dock. The area was designated a conservation area in 1990 and is now scheduled for renovation. The derelict Lord Line building was built in 1946 and is due for restoration (check out Lighting The Darkness to find out what’s inside).
