- The day I stopped smoking I removed all the sparkwheels from the lighters that were lying around in the house
- A spark wheel is made of serrated, hardened steel wire. When it is rotated with sufficient speed and force, it will strike a bar of flint within the lighter, creating a spark.
They say if the sheep are on the north side of I-70 in Western Colorado they are RMBHS if they are on the south side they are desert bighorns. I don't know how true that is. We found this beautiful Ram on the North side. If that is true this is a Rocky Mountain Bighorn. Also he is darker in color, shorter and thicker. He is built for the snow where as Desert Bighorns are lighter and taller built more for heat.

Nigritella Xwettsteiniana (Orchidaceae) 176 22
Nigritella Xwettsteiniana is a hybrid between Nigritella miniata and Nigritella rhellicani.
The hybrid between Nigritella rhellicani and Nigritella miniata shows intermediate morphological characteristics compared to both parents.
In particular, the color of the flowers is lighter than in N. rhellicani, but definitely darker than in N. miniata and less brilliant.
The lips are well open and relatively wide (tending to N. rhellicani), the leaves of the perigoneum narrowly lanceolate and proportionally long (tending to N. miniata).
In terms of habit and inflorescence, it tends more towards N. miniata, but may vary.
The color of the flowers is a lighter reddish brown. At first sight, it is thought to be an overly light N. rhellicani.

Some days are better than other days. Another wonderful adventure that I owe to my camera. It seems that most of the good things in my life are tied in to photography in some way. Thank God for hobbies... thank God for cameras! My first time in a hot air balloon! It was awesome!

SO MUCH BETTER IN LIGHTBOX.
I've wanted to take pictures in the rain for a while now, and so when it rained while we were in Mexico I thought that that would be the perfect opportunity, as the rain is actually warm there. This is one of the tennis courts at the resort. People were looking at me weird the whole time, but it was totally worth it.
Oh, and since Picnik is closing I thought I better make some Before and Afters of your favorite photos of mine for you before it's gone. Just tell me in the comments which pictures you would like to see a before and after of.
