This organic orb in rainbow colors was created while testing a new light painting tool in my studio. There will surely be some more shots.
Combining my love of running with photography. My first attempt at light drawing - great fun - not sure if the result is as it should be - unsure how to stop the burnt out effect in some area's. Again thank you for all your faves and comments. Always very much appreciated.
Before sunrise was a bit of time to create this nice Lightpainting. It shoes the Borobudur temple in a new light. Never seen before.

17 minutes exposure time!!!!!
This was taken 3 years ago. I've always hated it, to be polite, it's crap. I've been light painting for almost 10 years now and i've never ever been in to or remotly tried to get in to light drawing. It is a fabulous art and I admire it so much, but I am not a drawer on paper nor in light.
So a few years ago I had an idea to attempt some light drawing, but because of my horrible coordination I thought like on paper it would be easier to start out by tracing an object instead of trying to draw free hand. On this particular night I was shooting my friends Beetle's and decided to give some finger lights a go.
Firstly the light was a little on the bright side for this sort of thing, Secondly I under estimated how long it would take me and was off on the settings, although the photo is correctly exposed it was not the look I was going for. Third I missed 1 or 2 parts of the car, doing something this scale it was hard to keep track on what I had already drawn and what I had missed.
In general for my first try as a non light drawer I think it's not half bad. I would like to refine it some what and give it another go soon. I have some better light drawing tools and have learnt some lessons from the first time.
Hopefully it won't be judged too harshly.
Enjoy

Crazy Tuesday - theme of May 5th, 2020: light painting / light drawing
... my first try with a small LED-light (with changeable colours)
( darkening the room, tripod, mirror lock up, self-timer at 2 seconds, manual exposure and focus, holding the guitar with my left hand and using my right hand to move / wave the torch along its silhouette and then to create somewhat shambolic light drawing above it ... and again and again and again ... lol :D )
Although I had a lot of fun, I will have to give it a try again sometime to get a really decent result. But I didn't need my juggling torches and a fire extinguisher in the end (and could stay at home) - what a relief, lol
HaPpY CrAzY Tuesday, everyone : ))

Okay, now you all know I'm totally out of my mind, climbing into trees at night waving with lights! :D Luckily there was about half a meter of snow under the tree in case of falling! Straight from the camera. Done in collaboration with missmoody .

Straight from the camera. Finally got a light tool that is bright enough to shoot in the light pollution and snow... This was taken with aperture f/16.0, so it worked out quite nicely!

Straight from the camera. It has been snowing for two days, almost 40 centimeters of snow, but oh boy it looks beautiful outside!
