See my ring sparkle !!!
At this moment in my life I feel like I have captured light (or at least that's how it feels to have her sharing my life), got engaged to the love of my life last weekend... looking forward to sharing eternity with her... to the light that brightens my darkest hours... :)

* I took this photograph last May. It was raining and I decided to sneak out to the backyard to shoot some raindrops. I thought my little girl, Cara, didn't notice. After a couple of minutes I hear a voice, "Papa!". She was in her wellies and she got her little umbrella with her and before I knew it she was sloshing down the water puddles. I thought it would be great to shoot some pics with her in the rain. But she wouldn't pose. So... Oh well, with the 105, you couldn't go wrong! :P Lucio would agree. :) Snap! .

even before first breath, my mom & i were as close as close can be.
mom said that when i was within her, she already knew me .. she knew i was her Love of many lifetimes, coming here to meet again.
and often our friends and family would say, 'fran and kelly have the closest connection i've ever seen'.
what a profound life Gift this was and is :*)
mom lit up ~ with Joy ~ every person she came near! .. i cannot remember a single moment this wasn't so!
and i was lucky enough & beyond-blessed to be her daughter!
and her best friend ~ just as she is mine.
two years ago tonight my darling light had to fly away ..
into Fullness of Spirit, she flew ~~
i'm ever thankful to her for her great Love ~ and ever thankful to Great Spirit for her presence here on earth!
beyond words, i miss her here... shining her so-beautiful laughter and lovelight ... yet she dances in my heart every moment
and in this way, we are still as close as close can be *

it and she lit up my whole heart 🔅
9 years ago tonight lulu had to fly into the Fullness of Love 🔆
i miss her physical presence deeply & always.. as we were and are one soul, really. ... and yet her warm Lovelight is ever present🔅
you who knew her by heart, know her Love glows for everyOne
and from stories some of you have told since her passing .. of having seen her or felt her with you .. you know that if you think of lulu with your Heart, she will come to you bringing healing & joy🔅

It's my husband's birthday today ... I won't tell you how old he is but it's a biggie.
He always prefers my photographs before any processing and doesn't really like it once I've applied textures and the like so I left this one alone (well as much as I could) for him. x
walking out into the sunlight of her garden for the very first time.. a queen of Hearts ☼
she looks so big here! .. probably because you can actually feel her powerful Spirit
and actually see her strong will and determination .. even in the way she walks ..
but she was so tiny! ~ look at the size of the bricks in relation to her, to see how tiny :)
she was only barely 2 months old
and it was her first day of wholly and truly ruling our world and our hearts ♥

6/22/95 to 6/24/95:
"it was required that lulu also have a full physical exam from another outside vet before i could bring her home..
during this exam, the assigned veterinarian found something that caused him to say she should not go home with me... or with anyone.
the vet said she would not survive.
my family was concerned (as the reason for them giving her to me is that i had been dealing with an illness for a long time, and they felt a dog would help me cope with that)
when they heard this terrible news from the vet, they voted that i should not keep lulu.
i went to the clinic and brought her home "

so... today is the anniversary of lulu coming Home! ♥
the very first thing she did when she walked into her yard
was to eat a plumeria blossom... :*)

Hello everyone!
Well this is a little out of my comfort zone but that's what I am trying to do this year by participating in this project! I took this in my bedroom while Kia was laying on the bed on a fuzzy black blanket. I was standing on a trunk to get some elevation for a little different pov. I was using a flash (Whoa that never happens!) and bounced it off my white closet doors to hit & light the left side of Kia.
I thought it was different so decided to post & see what the pros think :) Any comments, improvements, criticism, Likes/dislikes are welcome!

today! is the birthday of an infinitely loving and loved Bodhisattva, who chose to come into this lifetime in a doggie costume!
and somehow.. through the immense generosity of the Universe and of her, i got to be her mom :*)
lulu was born in australia on april 21, 1995 and today would be her 22nd birthday.
this is especially touching to me as my best friend in this lifetime, my own mom :) was born on 2/22/22.. so there is some glorious juju going on here today!!
lulu and i were as One being, inseparable, for her a little over 13 1/2 years here on earth. if you saw me, you saw lulu ~ and vice-versa :)
living beside lulu was a many-splendored experience of near-constant laughter! indescribable joy, and especially from her.. of every profound and necessary teaching about Love *
she was (in addition to being bodhisattva :) my heartchild and lightbulb.
i am forever thankful to her, and forever in Love with her
when lulu had to fly away, november 2 of 2008, she was seen present by many, many friends in the days, weeks, and months thereafter. (for example, one friend, eric, saw her in the physical, through his window in his garden, a few days after her passage into Spirit*)
there are so many stories here on my flickr of this happening, from friends .. and other stories not here :)

this image was one of several made by jeanne/conceptvessel when at chippewa creek in ohio, just this past day-after-Christmas. .. when jeanne got home, she looked at all her photographs from that day, and saw lulu in this one! .. thank you very, very much dear jeanne!
indeed, here is our lulu :) in both the upper center-right of this image, and (i saw later) quickly swimming away in the lower left! which is so lulu’s way :) see the white heart above her head?!

Week 26 in 52 Weeks for Dogs
I've seen this idea used on a few photos on Flickr and decided to give it a try. Downloaded the action free from Panos. I discovered the magic extraction tool in PS Elements which took away the background (leaving it transparent) from the photo of Tasku. Then I tried running the action, which should have been really easy, but unfortunately it got so far and then Elements crashed - tried a couple more times with the same thing happening and then had to resort to adding my photo to the bulb then doing a bit of erasing with a layer mask plus some cloning, and worked out how to add the reflection, which I did in MS Digital Image but back to Elements for a few final adjustments to levels / brightness on the reflection, which I removed from the main part of the picture.
The result isn't perfect, but I do like it.
Me and Mrs.Z took a walk in the woods today and seeing this light beam she just had to do her scarecrow impression. Or was it the Riverdance one? Or maybe "I want to be a tree." I can never tell the difference.
(BTW: Never mind scaring the crows....she could, in the right circumstances, actually scare a pack of rabid wolves AND the wounded bear chasing them).
Never-the-less, she lights up my life, every day.
This is my grandson, Jacob. He makes me smile. Although he was born with spina biffida, he doesn't slow down. He has a smile that would make the Grinch melt and a spirit that is totally unbeatable. He and his Dad, my son, come and visit every Sunday. He comes in the house saying, "Grandma, I came to see you." My heart just melts!
Jacob started walking on this third birthday with the help of braces and what he calls his sticks (crutches). He is now four and walks all over the place!
Whenever I'm feeling down, all I have to do is think of this little fighter and all my troubles seem to fade away.

Julie has been out of state for a week and she is coming home tommorrow , It's funny how someone can make such a difference in someone's life ....while she has been gone about all i have done is work , i am a boring person for the most part , but she puts the sunshine in my life . I will never be able to show her how much she means to me . She deserves much better than me , all i have to offer for now is my love ....

My son came home yesterday afternoon. My heart's just filled with joy.
He's spending time with his friends tonight, and then tomorrow we'll have my step-daughter over with her troops, so the house will be filled with children. I can't wait.
Gabby has fallen in love with Dan. She jumps on him, hugs him, kisses him.....It's been fun to watch.
That is what happens if you want to lighten the dark parts around the eyes with a flash. Originally the exposure would have been 1/1000 sec or less but due to the flash sync time it was prolonged to 1/250 sec. Guess that lightened it up a little. But I really like the outcome.

this new hot dog toy was in jacob's stocking this year. santa paws, aka my mom, never fails to give him a toy that he falls madly in love with.
