Have I mentioned that I love spirals? :-) One of the most fascinating patterns in nature.

Detail of a decoration item I got as a gift. All other gifts I have already eaten !

At the end of the week I'll take a short break from flickr.

My brushes are calling...

and I'm going to need some time to remember how to paint ;-)

I'll load the series before I go... a few more than my usual...

so please feel free with comments or with silence.

Here's to traveling round the sun...

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated.

"zouaves" est une dénomination personnelle trahissant mon origine parisienne. En fait les créateurs les appellent les "Colosses"

Comme je ne suis pas béat d'admiration devant Notre-Dame de Fourvière, j'ai profité d'un instant où la basilique n'était pas éclairée...

It seems so :-) Anyway, it looked like this on my desk ... In the dark, with two light sources – guess which one? ... That's right, twice bike lights in red and white ;-) And they illuminate small balls that are sprinkled with fine glittering mica, which stays more or less ...

A broad immersive view of a tranquil waterscape at sunrise featuring Luxor city skyline silhouetted against a colorful gradient sky. The water reflects the sky's hues and shows gentle ripples in the foreground.

The lighting is characterized by the warm, golden hues near the horizon transitioning to cooler blues and purples in the upper sky. The water reflects these colors, creating a vibrant and harmonious palette. The contrast between the illuminated sky and the silhouetted city adds visual interest.

Gentle ripples or waves are visible in the immediate foreground of the water, adding a sense of movement to the otherwise still scene and create a leading line, drawing the viewer's eye into the scene.

A strong horizontal composition, with the horizon line divide the frame into sky and water. The cityscape on the far bank provides a middle ground, adding depth and a sense of place.

The emphasis is on the tranquil atmosphere and the interplay of light and reflection.

The soft lighting and calm water evoke a sense of peace, tranquility, and perhaps a touch of nostalgia or wonder, characteristic of golden hour photography.
