I apologize for being absent lately! Now that I've moved back home and started back at work, it's hard to get out and shoot.

I've done a party and a boudoir just this past month, and I have my first wedding coming up in 2 weeks, which I'm actually stoked about.

I also have an art show coming up on the 27th and can't wait for the chance to display some new work and hopefully sell and book new clients!

So, as you can see, I've been pretty tied up.

I want to start shooting more creatively again, and I want to be able to grow my business too. There's definitely a lot of work to be done! I miss the days when all of this was easy!

I smelled a lot of books today.

this week I could actually update you on my life.

I got fired from my job this week for really silly reasons. Anyway I've been incredibly stressed out because I really need the money to pay rent/bills, oh and food! I sort of had a mental break down after the words, "I'm going to have to let you go" came out. This is the first time I've been unemployed since I could even get a job! It's just a lot of change that happened too quickly...

I spent part of my day at the bookmill in Montague, it was very relaxing... but I felt like I should be at work and not just sitting around :l

The semester is coming to an end, and so is this project! Maybe I'll be more put together by week 52.

Also, Zelie! If happen to look at this photo- I finally bought Girl Interrupted (the book).

Hey y'all! So it's been about 4 months since my last upload. I'm stopping by to see what everyone else is doing.

What I've been doing:

1.) Joined Crossfit after finding out P90X wasn't the best route for fat loss and lean muscle gain. I start August 3. Wish me luck.

2.) Attending Friday prayers at the local Islam Mosque and learning a lot.

3.) Bought a new iPod Touch, which I absolutely ADORE. Who needs a silly ole iPhone when this can do almost just as much? I was surprised to learn that it get's internet access from free WIFI connections. What-a perk!

4.) Been keeping a Gratitude Journal. This was inspired by my dear friend Bettina.Schwarz. It's shaped my thinking into a more positive and grateful way.

5.) Trying to nail down what kind of SLR camera I want. I've been out too long and truly miss the sound of the shutter. LOL. So it's time to retire my little powershot and graduate to and SLR. I've decided all the way up to a Canon ... (any ideas?).

6.) Being social outside the internet. :o) However, I still miss you guys.

I had every intention of taking a self portrait tonight to kind of document what's been going on around here, but I hated every single one I took. I also don't have the capacity for inspiration right now, so instead you get the cutest kid I saw all summer. :) This is Zeek, my cousin's youngest kid. He's three, I think? I dunno, all little kids look the same to me - agewise.

A short update:

- Our house is coming along. Half way painted. Electrician coming next week. Plumber also (we hope). Once the basics are fixed, we can move in. Oh what a joy it will be to finish painting and fixing things once all of our crap is in there also. Blah. However, our friends have been amazingly helpful, and we love them for that. Also, Joey's parents have been at the house almost every day (all except for one or two, seriously) painting. They are amazing.

- I am an 8th grade teacher! Yipee! Seriously, I thought I was going to hate middle school, but I really don't. I even have more than 36 students in 4 of my 5 classes, including 41 and 44 in two of them. :D However! My school rocks, and my students are, for the most part, pretty awesome.

So I guess that's my life in a nutshell. It seems so easy when I type it out like that, but it's really rather exhausting (hence the lack of inspiration). I've been braindead for the last hour or so. Blah. Time for bed, I think.

I hope everyone is doing well! I miss updating Flickr regularly. Wah.

Quick Update:

School is back in session and although slightly intimidated, I'm putting all that in the back burner while I think of the summer...

I want to attend Science Camp! That's right. The only problem is that since I'm not a "graduating high school senior", the only way to attend is through working there. Think I can make it as a photographer? Sure hope so! The application is due on Sunday.

I'm still here. Though I have been non-existent as of late.

I started back at school last week. I'm only taking four classes this semester and am only enjoying one of them. I have decided to graduate this December and so, I am only taking what is necessary to get there. I am excited and scared to graduate. I'm, at this point, ready to be done with school. Grad school was always in the plans but as of right now, I feel like I need a break from school. I don't want to jump into grad school with no desire and not knowing what I want from it. I'd rather get a job, figure out a path, and then take it from there. I realize the job market isn't great, especially for a sociologist, but I am willing to work wherever for now just to have an income. I have a couple photography jobs coming up. I might be heading out to Chicago for a few weeks in January. My neighbs is moving there and if time and money allows, I'd like to take the trip with her to see what it's like. And help her move, obviously.

School is very trying right now. A lot (and I mean A LOT) of my good friends have already graduated and so I find campus life to be pretty boring. I feel like everyone is moving on with life and I'm just standing idly in heavy traffic buying time and waiting for something to happen. Obviously, I need to be active in making something happen. I'm just not sure of what yet. Who knows where I'm headed. I'm just looking for open doors and exciting opportunities.

My relationship status is non-existent as of right now. Things that seemed to work before don't really work anymore. No hard feelings, just different paths. Who knows if they will cross again. Only time will tell. For now, I'm comfortable with spending time figuring out myself and taking what comes my way.

I skipped class this morning. Woke up super sick. I have two more classes today though (one of which is 2 1/2 hours) so I have to push through and go to them. Lame. I have no motivation. Everything is habit. Wake up, work, class, sleep. I need to shake things up for these last 100 days.
