After some real summer weather down in the Bellarine, it was wonderful to see a beautiful sunset finish off a great day.

The Maldives is renowned for its incredible sea views, clear blue water, amazing diversity of sea life, lush tropical vegetation with abundant local coconut palms. This shot captures the silhouette of a woman, probably having enjoyed all there is in the Maldives, enjoying a drink on the deck totally relaxed. The sky is engulfed by the red rays of the setting sun, also reflecting on the light waves of the tranquil sea!

I had the opportunity to get away for a couple of days and explore areas that I had never taken images of before. This location is now easily one of my favourites. There wasn't much detail in the sky but it didn’t matter because nothing could have taken my focus off the textures of these amazing rock formations.

This journey of mine has been anything but a clear-cut straight line. Most days, it feels like I’m making it up as I go — throwing spaghetti at the walls just hoping for something, ANYTHING, to stick. Navigating the ebbs & flows, learning how to float, but feeling like I’m barely treading water. (Then again, aren’t we all?!)
