This is our galaxy....
The tree branch is almost emulating the Milky Way, and it's funny because we all grow "up", get taller, reach towards the sun. Nature and our galaxy are no different.
This is April. By the end of August at this time, this part of our Milky Way will be almost vertically straight up and down, and to the far right on the screen. Possibly not even visible on camera. I plan to revisit this at the end of August to check on the progress. I'd imagine that tree won't bee so easy to see through.
The Eagle Nebula is situated above the Sagittarius Star Cloud in the middle of the Milky Way in this picture. To the right, above the tree branch, Saturn is visible, with the Dschubba "forehead" star lines forming for Scorpius.
The colors of our galaxy are absolutely stunning. The star clusters, constellations, everything. It's just absolutely amazing to see. Maybe I'm too amped, maybe I'm some big night sky nerd inside, but - I feel extremely privileged to be able to capture photos of the galaxy we reside in.
Triggertrap first photo.

life, is friggen amazing
there's so many humble miracles that occur everyday, that we seem to forget about because we're so wrapped up in the smallest, most insignificant things. There are almost 7 billion people on this planet and we all have problems. chances are they aren't that big....seeing as each and every one of us has something to complain and worry about.
ps: wanna know how big just one billion is?! put this into scale: one billion seconds ago was 32 years ago.
lately, i've been going on a lot of walks, alone or with my sister and take photos.
on these walks, I leave all my friend drama, school drama and stresses behind and just take photos of the world, to remind myself of the little wonders we keep on forgetting about each day. Which is something, i think all 7 billion of us need to do, because in a world full of rising sea levels, global conflict, and a troubled economy-we certainly need to be reminded to the things that are still sweet.
an example would be: when it stops raining right before sunset, and smelling the earth. It feels recharged and refreshed and pure. After rain, all the toxins and bad things are washed away and replaced by this new smell of purity.
We as humans see life as a pain, get up, survive and go back to bed (took that off a t-shirt)
but life is such an awesome thing that I want to embrace it to its fullest, by discovering all the pleasures of life and just keep on learning about what this planet has.
there are downsides to it too, but those struggles, pain and obstacles only make the brighter side even brighter. With good, comes bad. With pain. Comes happiness.

now here come the cheesy sayings "live life to its fullest..." but I've always questioned that how do you live life to its fullest?
some say its by going skydiving
others by falling in love
I guess I havent been living life to its fullest yet.
but then why do i feel so in love with life right now?
I just hope that I never lose sight of how awesome this planet is and life is in general. That in 5-10 months or even years from now, I appreciate everything that I've gone through. (and trust me, its not like I'm some happy unicorn fairy princess that lives in her own world of rainbows)
but when I escape from the tension, angst, stress, pressure, greed and immaturity of my conformed society and into the REAL world. thats when I'm like screw this. life's awesome :)
still dont know what im talking about?
