Been having a look at an image taken back in July of 2022, taken whilst on a visit to the Lake District, we were enjoying one of our favorite location/walks, the Elterwater to Skelwith Bridge walk.
It's a shot I'd had in mind for a while, sadly we had missed the best of the lillies, however this shot shows the life cycle of this water plant.
I've given the original shot quite a harsh crop to get it to where it is now, darkened the background whilst still maintaining the vibrance of the leaves

Black Angus calf gets it's first nursing.
I first noticed the cow cleaning the newborn calf as i drove past a farm on Old Hwy 66. After finding a safe place to turn around and locating a pull over spot, the calf was nursing.
On a rainy Wednesday morning, life goes on!
