Circumstantial evidence suggests that there was a late Celtic hermitage here, but nothing is known for certain about the origins of the chapel until 1397 when the chapel was licensed for Mass in 1397. Presumably, it was built shortly before that time.
Like many hilltop churches, Rame Head Chapel was dedicated to St Michael the Archangel. A license was granted in 1427 for Mass to be said on Mondays and at Michaelmas.
The first, licensed African American-owned and operated airport in Maryland, if not the nation, opened on this site in 1941. Originally known as “Riverside Field”, the Columbia Air Center was established by a group of African American aviators known as the Cloud Club.

Die Nordschleife des Nürburgring, auch „Grüne Hölle“ genannt, ist eine der legendärsten Motorsport-Rennstrecken der Welt. Bis Anfang der 80er Jahre wurden hier noch Formel-1-Rennen ausgetragen, heute nur noch Rennen im Rahmen der DTM. Die knapp 21 km lange Strecke kann man zu bestimmten Zeiten mit seinem privaten PKW befahren, man kann aber auch als Beifahrer in einem sogenannten Ringtaxi (hier Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) - 525 PS) in rund 10 Minuten die Strecke „absolvieren“. Oft sind die Ringtaxis Sportwagen mit 500+ PS, gefahren von lizensierten Rennfahrern.
Aber auch so kann man hier seinen Spaß haben. Es gibt hier entlang einer Bundesstraße große, kostenlose Parkplätze (z.B. "Brünnchen"). Da parkt man 30 m neben der Rennstrecke und hinter einem Zaun, nur 10 von der Strecke entfernt kann man dann Renntaxis, Sportwagen bei Reifentests oder einfach wilde Draufgänger mit ihren aufgemotzten Karren bei den sogenannten Touristenfahrten beobachten. In jedem Fall ist hier Spaß garantiert !

The Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, also known as the "Green Hell", is one of the most legendary motorsport race tracks in the world. Formula 1 races were held here until the early 1980s, but today only races are held as part of the DTM. The almost 21 km long track can be driven in your private car at certain times, but you can also "complete" the track as a passenger in a so-called ring taxi (here Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) - 525 PS) in around 10 minutes. The ring taxis are often sports cars with 500+ HP, driven by licensed racing drivers.
But you can still have fun here. There are large, free parking spaces along a federal highway. You park 30 m next to the race track and behind a fence, just 10 m from the track, you can watch racing taxis, sports cars doing tire tests or simply wild daredevils with their souped-up cars on so-called tourist rides. In any case, fun is guaranteed here!

When I put on my makeup, stockings and heels and above all, a pretty dress, I become more feminine, more outgoing, more confident, more excitable, less contemplative, less uncertain and more open to being vulnerable.
When I’m in male mode I’m constantly worried about what people will think of me. I try to be perfect, to not offend anyone, I shape who I am to fit into the person I believe others want me to be.
When the transvestite inside of me comes out, I realize that I’ve probably already offended some people. I don’t mould myself to their expectations, but find myself free to be who I am inside.
In truth I like who I am when I’m crossdressed. I think that if cross dressing was more socially acceptable, more people would feel comfortable expressing a different side of themselves.

This is an even better view of the remarkable exterior workmanship of this Queen Anne Style Victorian Era Los Angeles home. The Hale House has been fully restored to its 1887 condition. The interior is even more remarkable but, unfortunately, the Heritage Square Museum does not permit photographing the interiors.

The Market Inn was first licensed as a pub in 1874 although the building is almost certainly much older. In the early days, the pub was the meeting place for traders bringing their livestock to the market, presumably cattle as this pub is on the Cattle market in Sandwich, now under the ownership of Shepherd Neame brewers of Faversham, the building has been extended and improved.
The building on the corner is the No Name Shop which is now a bistro, and is on the corner of No Name Street ( do you think they ran out of names?)
St Peter’s is a redundant Anglican church. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. In 1560 a group of Flemish Protestants from the Spanish Netherlands came to live in Sandwich, and St Peter's became their church. The tower collapsed in 1661 and the Flemings rebuilt the tower and added a cupola to the top.
