Decided to photograph my boy Liam today. He's such a pretty and handsome boy. I really should clean up his legs and blush them so I can take full body shots of him.
Liam is an Impldoll Aldrich in tan with Soom Chrom paws.

Professional MMA fighter, Liam McGeary stands at a daunting 6'7" tall, with a pro career of 6 straight wins with no losses, his 3 most recent victories coming under the banner of the 2nd largest MMA company in the world, Bellator Fighting Championships.
I've shot with Liam a few times before, and have been lucky enough to have been taking photos at some of his fights, including the night he submitted Shaun Lomas in the 1st round at Rumble on the Rock III 'Ballistic' to claim the title of British ICO Light Heavyweight champion.
Shooting with fire is a passion of mine, so using that as an x-factor for this image seemed a no brainer, but I was keen to try and avoid a cliche image of a fighter with fire on his hands. With that in mind, the fire in this shot is 100% real and could only have gone ahead with the supervision and guidance of my resident fire guru, Tom Coles. To fake or manipulate fire in this context would seem to diminish the point of using fire in the first place. Using fire in shoots requires a great deal of maturity and professionalism, but when everything works correctly you can get some amazing results. Incredibly proud of this image, but it was in no way a solo effort, I'm very lucky to be surrounded by people who are committed to helping me out on projects like this for no other reason than to create something awesome.
A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in this shoot, from Liam to trusting me in the first place to set his hands on fire, to Tom for handling all the fire safety, execution and keeping everyone feeling at ease and on point, and to Sam for sorting out the location and acting as my lighting assistant and videographer.
I'll be posting a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot in the coming weeks so watch out for that, but in the mean time I hope you enjoy this shot.

A mural by Paul Curtis to mark the work Tranmere Rovers Trust have done providing support to the community during the coronavirus pandemic. Amongst other things, they have provided over 35,000 meals to those who most needed them.
The mural depicts Liam and Annie sharing a tangerine in front of the Johnny King statue outside Tranmere Rovers football ground.
Mural is situated on Borough Road, Birkenhead.
