Two DAF LFs at the bottom of University Boulevard in liveries you’ll commonly see around here; Barratts and Royal Mail. Both are the larger 18 tonne version of the LF with the Royal Mail truck being the facelift model.
The original LF design on the left came about around about the early 2000s to replace the old DAF 45 and was built for a good long time with only minor changes to the styling. Then the updated design on the right was phased in during the 2010s and it’s still built to this day – albeit DAF has renamed the LF to XB for some reason.
They must surely be some of the most common and successful lorries in Britain.
