Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a black and white day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday.

Since Sunday is the day of the week where miracles are supposed to happen more often (or at least is the day where I expect a miracle to happen and win the lottery so I don’t have to go to work on Monday lol), I opted for a levitation picture… Levitation is, in my opinion, almost a miracle. Just like spontaneous combustion but, I don’t know why, I'm not eager to capture a picture of spontaneous combustion. And you know me: when we talk levitation it usually involves eggs. So here we go: a levitating egg in black and white.

For your information: I didn't win the lottery this week…but since we are all ok and we made it through another awesome week, lets consider that the lottery winning is very optional and secondary :-).

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a black and white day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday. Yesterday night I had my first, postlockdown, informal and very spontaneous « party » with my parents. My Dad had a computer problem and since my husband is the family's computer doctor, we had to help my father… It took a whole evening (yes it was a very serious problem but dont ask me I have no idea!!) but we had a blast. We stopped the time for few hours… The time was on our side and it seemed like it was in levitation. And of course, as we were waiting on the time to restart we had a few gin and tonics (for me) and whiskey for the other party animals with me ;-). So my picture for today is time in levitation.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and I decided to try a levitating book. It wasn’t easy so please be kind: it is my first self levitating book.

Today, is my running /laundry folding / decluttering day. i must admit: except for running the two other activities aren’t on my « favorite things to do » list… Usually I don’t mind but I’m super lazy lately, so the decluttering process has, once again, slowed down… wish me luck, my friends ! I will need all the extra motivation today.

So, how do you feel about levitating books ? Are they creepy or not ?

The Scrub Tanager is a common open country bird of the Colombian and Ecuadorian Andes. Due to its preference for scrub and bushy areas, it is most easily found in dry intermontane ‘rainshadow’ valleys but is expanding into more humid areas in the wake of human disturbance.

The Scrub Tanager is identified by its silvery greenish plumage, rust-colored cap and black mask. In further contrast to this typically gregarious genus, the Scrub Tanager most often is encountered as solitary pairs.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is Infinity symbol. At first, I had a very difficult time to find an infinity symbol in my props… but then there was this elastic orange hair band laying on the floor in front of me. And since I’m lazy I wasn’t about to pick it up (especially that my house is a total mess right now because of our renovations) until I noticed that it was a perfect Infinity symbol ! Isn’t that great ? Of course, turning an orange elastic band into a levitating infinity symbol was another problem but I’m pretty much satisfied with the results. And I truly hope it will make you smile !!

Juste for your information: I have lots of things going on in my personal life right now and due to our renovations going super fast my « photo studio » (aka coffee table) and all my props had to take a vacation and all of my stuff is currently in my bathtub (yes, people !! The struggle is real, there is virtually no free space left in my house … event the bathtub is full of stuff !! And yes, we did put a cork in, just in case !!). So I’m will not be able to publish daily anymore (which makes me truly sad since I got truly attached to all your awesome comments, support and this amazing community…). For now, I will be officially on « vacation » from Flickr (but it isn’t by choice …). I will try to publish as soon as possible. Until then : stay well and safe my friends !!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a blue day at Color my world Daily and we celebrate birds at Looking close on Friday. It is a common knowledge that the egg came first. Then we had a bird… After that came another egg with another bird… And just after that, the 2 first birds created an other egg and that is how a first family of birds came to this world. As you can see, I captured the first flight of a new born egg ! Isn’t that adorable ? It is like a child taking its first step ! The 2 parents were very, very proud of their egg ! So young and already flying on its own ! Nature is amazing my friends !

Well, we have not shown levitation for a while because I admit I got sidetracked by pretty poses and some flight configurations. Now, BIFs, lovely as they are, in my mind are nowhere near as exciting as documenting levitation images. And here we have a prime example of one such occurrence. We can clearly see that this Blue Jay is engaged in up and down levitation. He is totally suspended in mid-air. The wings are completely in the rest position on his back. He is so sure of his control, he is not even using the wings for any sort of balancing. This is a superb example of levitation. It simply does not get any better than this.
