The levels are formed from tidal deposits and alluvium, which have been recurrently inundated and reclaimed from the Severn Estuary by humans since Roman times. They have been patterns of settlement, enclosure and drainage systems belonging to successive periods of use, and are extremely rich archaeologically, with finds from the Mesolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age periods.

This is my view as I write a presentation this morning. I am also on rabbit watch - Val and Tino have the freedom of the lawn to bounce around but need watching as they like to dig, eat plants and also there are cats about.
The photo is taken looking out from Paul's patio doors in the woods beyond. I have gone upstairs to get a better view of the trees.
I like how the quality and level of light subtly changes as the day goes by. The first pic was taken around 8.30am, the second 10.30am and the third at midday.
Back to presentation writing. It's amazing how easy it is to get distracted by Flickr, Facebook, emails, general web surfing, eating, drinking, chatting...
Land is very valuable in New York - cars are parked in several levels at this typical Manhattan lot.
