Another macro photo from my walk yesterday. I love it when I like a photo just the way it is and don't have to do much to it. - Have a great weekend all!
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
Jesus speaking in Matthew 5, verses 14 thru 16
This photo was taken in 2013 during my previous Project 365…please visit my album for this “REMASTERED” Project 365 as I revisit each day of 2013 for additional photos to share!!
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

A lighthouse, standing tall and unwavering, beckons us to shine our light for others. Just as it guides ships through treacherous waters, we too have the power to illuminate the path for those in need. In the darkest of times, when storms rage and uncertainty clouds the way, our kindness, compassion, and empathy can serve as beacons of hope. It's a reminder that even in our own journey, we can be a guiding light, helping others navigate the rough seas of life, and in doing so, we discover our own purpose and meaning.
I loved that song we used to sing in Sunday School , This little light of mine.. Below is a wonderful version by Odetta Holmes...

Have a great day and don't be afraid to let your little light shine !
We lost our sister/Ken's sister tonight - she fought a very brave and hard fight against cancer. Even though some may think her flame has burned out, it will always be bright in our hearts and memories.
Thank you for all who have thought of her and us during this time.
Let your light shine.
This one was from Frozen Head and I absolutely love the sun how it looks like a star and the sun flares that are coming through. Hope you all like too.

"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven"
(Matthew 5:16, AMP).
Do the people around you see your light shining? Do they know you are a believer by your actions? Are you setting the bar in your office? Can people see your good works?
I know people who can quote half the Bible and pray two hours a day, but they have no influence or credibility because they´re sloppy in the workplace. They´re always late or wasting time. They´re not productive. They´re not efficient. No one will even listen to them.
I heard somebody say, "Your performance gives you a platform." When you excel in what you do, that gets people´s attention. The way to gain respect, the way to gain influence is to develop your character and skills in such a way that people want what you have. They may not agree with what you believe, but when you are the best in your company, they can´t argue with that. You´ve earned their respect, not by your words, but by your spirit of excellence.
I encourage you today, don´t settle for mediocrity. You are a child of the Most High God. Make the decision today to let your light shine and bring Him glory in everything you do!

Today is a momentous day...our daughter graduates from high school...I am so proud of her. To say we're anxious, excited, exhilarated, going in 11 different directions, is an understatement...it seems as if only yesterday she was a toddler, getting into her brothers things...wait a minute...she still does...hahahahahah. This picture is dedicated to her. I wish her light to shine on all those whose lives she touches.
Congratulations, Princess...I'm so very proud of you!!! {:~X}

Our Greatest Fear
it is our light not our darkness that most frightens us
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
—Marianne Williamson
Here are some photos I took, and used as part of a presentation I did this morning at a school. So much fun. I would show the kids the motion to make, run back to my camera, have someone hit the switch, and then while the camera was processing it, the kids would ooh, and ahh, at all the flickring lights. Then when I finished I hooked it up to a big T.V. and they were able to see what all the flashing, and swirling made. Some words turned out better than others, and two of them we made backwards, and I had to flip them in photoshop, but it was a blast. Hope you enjoy them.

Goal: Share one of my favorite verses in poster format.
Audience: Anyone
Direction: Wanted to experiment with gradients and glow effects, especially with the theme of shining your light. I have used similar color schemes before but I think this is one of the best renditions using it.

“We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won't need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don't fire cannons to call attention to their shining- they just shine.”
Dwight L. Moody quotes (American Evangelist, 1837-1899)
This is SOOC.
"You are the light of the world, a city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16
Somewhat a contrast in ideas--being all about the light, in the midst of the darkness.
For FGR's group of the day: Roaming through the Gloaming, 365, and 30 Days of Gratitude
30 Days of Gratitude: I am grateful for a school calendar. I have a job where I am not paid nearly enough, and I am required to keep paying for my education.... BUT one of the major perks is that I have a school calendar that honors holidays such as Veterans' Day. I have a 2 week break around Christmas, and a summer vacation (although I work for free during most of it). There are pros and cons to being a teacher, but today I feel blessed!

Closely admire your fingerprints
just joined yesterday...so i had to shoot both of these today to catch up...
Fingerprints represent what is unique about us, and our job in this life is to find out what that is and share it with the world...thought this concept illustrated this Wayne Dyer quote perfectly...while showcasing my fingerprints...sorta?
