To znacznie bardziej romantyczne od czytania czegoś na tym samym komputerze, którego używa się do ściągania muzyki czy zbierania materiałów do referatu"

Earlier in this series I told the story of a plane crash in the heart of New Hampshire’s Pemigewassett Wilderness that took the lives of my father and another doctor, and also of their unsuccessful attempt to survive in the aftermath of the worst New Hampshire blizzard in 40 years. Aware they probably wouldn’t make it, they had written letters and sealed them into a plastic bottle.
It is the letters that are the hardest for me but also the most important. The few scrawled sentences are deeper in meaning than I can express to you. My father, clearly very cold, wrote to my mother, brother and me. His words are painfully honest, simple, loving. With my brother's agreement I showed them to members of the Dartmouth Outing Club on the weekend we snow-shoed in with them to cabins in the heart of the New Hampshire Wilderness.

Originally created for an exhibition of the photographer platform Kamerata in Zwolle. Unfortunately the lockdown put a hold to that.
The original idea came to me for last year's exhibition (that was also cancelled) with the theme Freedom.
The final image is a combination of two shots, I would have liked to use just one but on the one with the nice sparks the flash did not fire :-(

I decided not to write a lot of text this time and let the image speak for itself. I hope you'll write your own story. I will however say that I'm in love with the morning light in my neighbor's yard.
