You can tell a lot about a community's culture of conservation by their roof during a snowfall. What's yours look like? Why does the townhouse in the middle have more snow?
Some are able to conserve massive amounts of energy by lowering their thermostats, cleaning their dryer vents (or don't use a dryer), and adding insulation, among a thousand other ways..
If, however, you see this scenario where there are small children alive in there, the sick, elderly or disabled, please touch bases with them - they may have had their electric/gas utilities disconnected - because *we care* about them.
It is so hard to get local communities here involved in recycling. Yet they wonder why there is no local seafood available here and wonder why there are fish and swim advisories posted Statewide in Kentucky. It's just gonna take time. Hopefully in my lifetime.
Cheltenham Wetlands Park was once part of the U.S. Naval Radio Station, Cheltenham, Maryland. It was commissioned in 1939.

Pancake and I spotted Ami while we were getting Pancake some treats. This was "Derby Day" and a rainy day at that. Ami was choosing some flowers for her Mom for Mother's Day. Interestingly enough this Walmart had no women's hats for sale - anywhere.
Walmart is a good place to piace to shop simply because it is spacious, roomy and one can choose their hours to visit - outside of the insanely mad rushes as they are open 24/7. For many of us it is much better as it is a relatively safe place nearby for us to walk indoors and at least get some exercise outside of the gym. With balance and mobility issues the treadmill can certainly be a challenge at times. Unfortunately many in this area believe it is unusual and even criminal to prefer to shop during off hours. They of course have never been disabled. Walmart generally is very service-dog friendly unlike many places here in Kentucky. Thank you Walmart for at least recognizing that.

These bones are found in the head of guinea pigs. These are the lucky bones.
Our guide placed them in a shot glass of liquor. We took turns downing the shots. Whoever drank the atuqcha was the lucky one.

The College Park Aviation Museum is located adjacent to the College Park Airport. The College Park Airport is the world’s oldest continuously operating airport established in 1909 when Wilbur Wright came and trained military officers to fly the government’s first aeroplane. The airport is known as the “Field of Firsts” which includes the first female passenger, first machine gun tested on an airplane, and the first controlled helicopter flight.
