Despite the high tide today, it looked unthreatening because there was no wind.

Well, I've only had the chance to shoot Picture Lake once so far, but I am itchin' to get back up there sometime soon.

Anyway, this is from September. I revisited it today, because I was pretty unhappy with almost all of my shots that day because of the horrific lens flare I was getting from the circular polarizer I was using. I should have been more careful and/or used a lens hood.

I suppose this is a lesson learned. Anyway, I went through the 60 or so shots I took up there that day, and found this series that was lacking the annoying flare!

The real reason I brought this one back to life is because I had intended to put one of the Shuksan images in the "gallery" I set up today at Boxley's in North Bend, but after printing and framing the 20x30, I was too disgusted with the flare to display it, so I put it back in the car and brought it back home with me...

I do like this one, because if you look closely you can see a dragon fly =)

Happy New Year guys! I wish all the best. May this one be the best one ever, and not a crash like 87 years ago.

Do not hesitate to take a look at my Facebook page.

Was on a walk this afternoon and i spotted this guy swinging around about 15ft up.

I think it might have been getting an early flying lesson.

get closer

Teacher: Kasia

He's teaching her how to play.

Interior design drawing. this took around 3 and a half hours to draw

A lesson learnt: After talking with my friend Gary, I decided not to go to the Dover Patrol, but somewhere under the route posted.

So, that is why I was parked up at the edge of a field in Martin. I got distracted by a buzzard, rattled off a few shots, then noticed that my battery was nearly flat. I went back to my car to get my other camera body, just in case. I went back to the spot I was before, but was not happy.

I would walk onto the road. I checked my watch, ten to two.

I looked up.

There was the Vulcan, coming straight for me. I raised the camera, but with it set on 400mm and the dull background, it would not focus.

I tried again and again. Nothing.

The Vulcan was getting closer. Those shots I missed would have been sensational, or so I tell myself.

With the Vulcan almost overhead, I find it in the viewfinder and rattle off a few shot, this being the best.

The plane flew off, I got some OK ones, but nothing like the head on ones I should have got.

My daughter doing piano practice lessons. Closeup with my new "toy" ;)

It seams I am more passable than I think.

While out shopping in my local town I past the florist who happens to sell a lot of vintage style dress (Yes Janet you know the florist) and in the window was flyer for a tea dance to be held locally. I continued shopping and got my bits I went out for and decided as I liked the idea of a tea dance on the way back to pop into the florist and a ask a question.

Now me being the caring sort of person and worry about people's sensibilities I thought it would be prudent to ask if I would be welcome at such an event my being trans and all.

Well the lady was a bit taken aback saying "of course you would be welcome why ever not?" On explaining a second time she said "Had you not told me dear I would never have known"

Well that shocked me and yeah OK she could have just been saying that bit I feel she was being truthful.

So one happy girl walked out clutching a flyer Hell bent on attending the event.

The lesson learnt is I have to stop telling people I am trans it doesn't matter.

SB800's left and right, shoot through umbrellas.

Shinku had started her Class a day ahead of Ala so that her children would have more time to understand the Lessons and get time to practice.

"Okay little ones its time to learn how to Summon and why we do it," Explained Shinku calling over the little ones to come closer to her.

"Whats summoning?" asked Little Eternity hoping it would be a new toy to play with.

"Come here children and I will show you," Shinku explained sounding sweet and playful with Little Eternity after all she understood that Eternity was 9 so she was not as mature as some of her other students.

As little Eternity looked at Shinku's hand win all of the sudden a light and rainbow came out from her hand! Than as little Eternity followed it she saw Butterflies flying above her head.

"Summoning is the power to call on something or some one and call them to your aid from no matter the distance away they are from you," Explained Young Mariposa in a very sweet but smart manner feeling it was important that the Little girl know how it worked!

"Yes my sweet Mariposa and today we are all going to learn how to Summon a Item and than win we are done we will learn now to put it back," Shinku Explained as she smiled up at both girls seeing she had their attention.

"Oh why do to need to put the Pretty Butterflies back thou," asked Little Eternity as she giggled and reached up to touch the Butterflies.

"Well its all ways important to put the things you Summon back since they do belong to a world of there own its not fair to keep them worlds apart after all they have family and friends they want to get back too," Stated Mariposa now trying her very best to sound super smart in front of Little Eternity.

"Very Good Mariposa your right yes and now that is the end of our class tomorrow you will work with me one on one to learn how to Summon your very own Item from another place," Sweet Shinku said with a smile as she looked up to her little innocent sweet Students faces.

"Can we play with the pretty Butterflies," asked Little Eternity as she giggled and held her arms out like they wore wings.

"Sure sweet hearts have fun with them," Sweet Shinku said bringing her class to a close and letting the girls play. Both girls got up and played with the Butterflies. She wanted and smiled till she had noticed something about one of her little girls...

What in the world," Thought Sweet Shinku as she noticed that little Mariposa looked like she had grown and started to develop in to a young lady. The only parablem with this was that Little Mariposa was only 11 so how the hell did she go from 11 to looking like she was 14 or 15 in just a week?

Thank you for following my stories today we have a 3 different Types of Pure neemo bodies so you can see how they look on the girls.

Little Eternity is on a XS body being its is the smallest.

Mariposa is on a S body that had the look of a young lady still to little to be a Woman just yet.

Sweet Shinku is on a M Body that very much looks like a Young Lady just starting her life as a Woman in the world.

I hope to get a L Body for another girl some time so every one can see how all of them look nest to each other in my photos ^_^

I have sooo missed my camera these past months! Life has led me elsewhere lately...

As artists our view through the lens is an invaluable tool..an extension of ourselves ... always ready to capture inspiration where ever it may be..

Today was 'self teach' day for me, iPad and paper in hand we worked on using MANUAL ONLY with available lighting !!

I LOVE MANUAL !!

and having more control of the end result... especially if it doesn't fit into the "artistic vision" of what the image was in your head... not to mention less time in post-production!!

A win-win no matter how you look at it!

Thank you ALL of my Flickr friends for your visits and your incredible streams that continue to delight , inspire and carry me away each time I visit...Explored # 433 thanks you one and all!!
