In defense of the vandals....aside from this can and that picnic table and an outhouse this was the view in all directions so it really was the only thing out there to pick on! haha

Our Allied Health students got hands on this week as they had the opportunity to do some dissections. The lesson overview was the cardio vascular system, the heart chambers and how it all functions #citycollegeGVL #dissection #alliedhealth
Since I stay after school for 2+ hours after my students leave, I rarely work on lesson plans at home. But I was feeling a creative energy buzz this afternoon, so I started working on my upcoming Romeo & Juliet unit. I've never taught this play before, and it's so much a part of the 9th grade tradition, that I'm really excited about it.
Last seal pic... This has come out ok. Ive cropped it to bring the seal much closer to viewer. What you dont see is the surropunding land . The seal is acctually swimming in a rather large puddle left behind when the tide went out!!

Hula lessons are offered every Monday (through the end of August), 6 p.m. for beginner level and 7 p.m. for advanced level at the Kalakaua Community Center's recreation room.
