I am thinking that this is one of the female lesser goldfinches that has been hanging around our feeder this summer and not one of the "juvies" that have been making life miserable for a doting father. All in all just a gorgeous little bird!

From my fall foray into shorebird photography - the colours are appealing after a day of off and on again snow, and a forecast of snow through next week.
Another shot from Prague, this time a view through the arch of the Lesser Town Bridge Tower, looking towards St Nicholas Church.
It took a few mornings before I got the shot I wanted; usually by the time I got to this spot, and settled, the street lights went off😮. So on this the final morning of our visit, I ensured I was in position earlier 😁.

El-polin Springs
Got out of school today!!!! Went birding at el-polin and got some amazing pictures of hummingbirds and other birds.I have tried many times for getting good pictures of Lesser Goldfinch and have failed, so it was nice to be less then a foot away from this guy and to be able to get a good shot of it. When i go to Chicago i will be posting photos during the trip so stay posted,i will be leaving Saturday.
