INGREDIENTS:
2 tablespoons fresh blueberries
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 fresh mint leaves
Ice cubes
2 tablespoons gin (1 oz)
1/2 cup ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
Lemon wedges, blueberries on a beverage pick, fresh mint, if desired
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a highball glass, muddle blueberries, lemon juice and mint.
2. Fill glass to rim with ice cubes. Add gin. Top with ginger ale; stir gently.
3. Garnish as desired.

Lemons 4
Raw brown sugar 6 oz (175 g)
Boiling water 1½ pt (900 ml)
Scrub the lemons, halve them and squeeze out the juice. Place the juice and pulp in a large bowl or jug with the sugar and pour ½ pt (300 ml) of boiling water over. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the lemon halves and another 1 pt (600 ml) boiling water. Stir well, then cover and leave to cool. Strain, squeezing out the juice from the lemon halves and serve.
The lemonade will win no prizes for appearance because it ends up brown. According the book, the patrons of the restaurant call it "Thames mud"! :)
But it does taste nice. :)
