Thank you to Brendaamb and to Liina for letting me know about Explore!!

I am back to photographing this Amaryllis again. There is still one bud to open, so it will last for awhile longer. I've had such fun with this Amaryllis. This is the third stalk of flowers it has graced me with. I'm planning to take extra good care of it to ensure that it will bloom next year as well.

In fact it's the lemon grass of 2019 which hibernated in the basement and has only recently returned outdoors. It still looks a bit tattered but Fynn is pleased to have it back. Happy Tongue Tuesday ! :)

Macro Mondays: Citrus

Lemon for the fish :)

Weekly Themes: Fruit - Anything Citrus

Lemon Reservoir (and nearby Vallecito Lake) northeast of Durango is a favorite area of locals for fishing, especially for rainbow trout and Kokanee salmon. And like so much of the San Juan National Forest area, it is so beautiful when the Aspens are turning in the early Fall...

This is a great example of where a Circular Polarizing Filter (CPL) can really help bring out natural colors in a landscape shot. I am however at the edge of using a CPL here though, as wider than 18mm and you get uneven sky color or color variations. And yes I have learned that the hard way...

Getting ready to host brunch for my mom for Mother's Day. Though the glass isn't totally in focus, I loved the starburst in the water pouring into the glass.

"Do what you can, with what you've got, where you are." -- Theodore Roosevelt

I really take this quote to heart with my photography. My images with snails are my equivalent of "when life gives you lemons". Today I have combined the lemons and a snail and now have added text which adds extra difficulty to shooting the image. Fortunately I was patient and the snail cooperative so it came together.

How are you applying these philosophies to your life?
