la leggenda del tulipano
La triste leggenda di un amore ricambiato, ma purtroppo destinato ad essere spezzato.
La leggenda racconta di due giovani, belli ed innamorati che abitavano in un povero villaggio in Persia, lui di nome Shirin e lei Ferhad.
Un giorno Shirin decise di partire in cerca di fortuna, lasciando la sua amata. Passarono giorni e mesi, ma lui non tornava, così Ferhad si avventurò nel deserto per cercarlo, ma mentre vagava alla ricerca del ragazzo, cadde su delle pietre aguzze. Ferita e dolorante si mise a piangere, conscia che sarebbe morta senza rivedere il suo bel Shirin. Le sue lacrime di dolore si mischiarono al sangue e cadendo goccia dopo goccia sul terreno si tramutarono in bellissimi tulipani rossi.
Tutte le primavere questi fiori tornano a fiorire e raccontano questa infelice passione dei due giovani innamorati.

The legend tells of a couple of young beautiful and in love, who lived in a poor village in Persia, he named Shirin and she Ferhad . Durante il confinamento Covid non avevo grandi temi da sfruttare per fotografie...solo le erbe aromatiche e i fiori sui miei balconi, fiori che ho curato con amore con un'assistente d'eccezione...lei, Daphne.

Hoje, dia 13 de Maio é o dia da Abolição dos Escravos.
Na péssima foto que eu fiz, estão: a tiara, bandeja, medalhão, caneta da assinatura da lei e a cópia da Lei, pois a original se encontra guardada no Arquivo Nacional.
Em destaque também o busto de mármore, a caneta de ouro e pedra preciosa ganha do Papa após a assinatura da Lei.

A spectacular morning of snorkelling in the lagoon that had a very low high tide so not much time and the water depth over the coral wasn't much. The coral height is determined by the tides ie low tide on average is the highest point.
This green turtle was very chill and had no issues to hang out with us for a while... though I have no idea what he/she would have thought of us huge neoprene covered things floating in the water
