We're still building... can you believe it?
We gladly present our new creation, the iconic “final boss” from the Gremlins movie! (the director’s cut)
Joking aside, on this occasion, we have tried to stay as close as possible to the concept from the first Alien film in terms of the creature's proportions and posture. We have always been very attracted to that image of a feline creature, crouched in a corner of the ship, patiently waiting for the moment to attack. We had particularly in mind the scene of the attack on Dallas in the ventilation ducts, with the figure in a crouching position with its arms outstretched (what a fright the poor fellow gets!).
The scale is approximately 1:2, twice that of our previous ‘Alien Project’ model from 2016. It has approximately 5,500 pieces and, as usual, is 100% modular for easy assembly and disassembly.
As for the instructions (PDF format), depending on the interest the model generates, we may or may not produce them. Due to the considerable number of pieces, we estimate that it would take us around eight months to complete, which is a huge effort at all levels. If the model is well received, we may decide to launch a crowdfunding campaign to ensure a minimum number of sales to cover those months of work. But, you know, it all depends on you.

Because I do nearly everything in 3s, this is the first MOC in a mixel-joint-based miniland plus series with heavy emphasis on color and emotion. The vignette takes up a ~32x32 footprint in a circle. Completed in March 2023. Only uses the following colors: Black, Dark Blue, Dark Azure, Medium Azure, Dark Bley, Light Bley, Light Aqua, and White. Won Best Vignette at Brickworld Chicago 2023. The Dino Tail addiction is real.
Call me old-fashioned, but viewing Brick Art and Lego creations at Flickr is just more enjoyable.

There were initially just three separate builds and no intention of it all to tell a story, but it's been a happy accident that I feel like it does now (vaguely) from left to right. It was a lot of fun to dream up different forms, shapes, and compositions to contrast the others as the series progressed.

What was only supposed to be a series of 3 models, spun into a total of 6. This is my 4th build in my "Moments of Melancholy" series. While all the others had some sort of direct inspiration, whether a song or a piece of artwork, this one was just off the dome.
Only uses the colors white, light bley, dark bley, black, red, dark red, and coral. Model started in August 2023, finished in May 2024, and photographed in March of 2025. The top petals use ~10 sets of the dragon wings from set 70653 Firstbourne (Part # 38765 on Bricklink).

Lutra lutra is one of Taiwan’s endangered wild animals, mainly inhabiting the freshwater environments of Kinmen Island. They often forage in the water and move with great agility, making them little invisible hunters of the freshwater world.
They have short, broad heads, with round faces and bright, clever eyes. Their bodies are long and sleek, covered with dense chestnut-brown fur on the back, while the belly is a pale gray. Although their limbs are short, the small webs between their five toes allow them to swim swiftly and gracefully—just like natural-born swimmers.
My Grandpa used to run a store similar to this on our street.

The city has grown around the railroad and the Brickester City Council has decided to expand the station, preserving and restoring the old facade and covering the old hall with a new iron and glass structure.
This newly-restored station has quickly become the most important meeting point in the city. Thousands of people pass through every day. Some patiently await the journey home, others rush by to get to work on time, some people-watch with curiosity, whilst some anxiously anticipate the too-slow arrival of a loved one. Yet others carry all their worldly belongings in a suitcase ready to embark the train to a new life.

The greatest team on superhero history is back! The Justice League is here once again, after a grand mission here they are celebrating the fact that they have saved the world. As a team, it is a better way to save Justice to the world and protect the civilians from danger, as they have shown this with true teamwork. So, what's next for them? One thing for sure, we'll always need them right beside us. Enjoy!

Drago means dragon in Latin, and I had to combine it with automata as this seems like some Victorian clockwork. This is a clip and bar build, with almost no studful connections.
