In the annual madness that accompanies the choosing of 13 photos for a calendar, I ran across this sunset photo and thought I'd share.
I got a job down at the local farm shop....cleaning up the leftover rotten pumpkins from Halloween. It pays me a few $Lindens...enough for a meal and a drink, I guess.

This hibiscus sat on my front doorstep all summer. Finally, in early December, I decided to bring it into my house to see if would survive through the winter. It struggled for a couple of weeks and lost quite few leaves but then, suddenly, flower buds appeared. Now, I have two or three flowers every day.
Here it is enjoying the afternoon light from my bedroom windows.
It won't be long before it will be greeting visitors at my front door again,
Hurry up spring!!!
