accidently deleted this from my flickrstream, using my right hand while i 'm lefthanded 😱😊

Apparently left handed people are meant to be creative, and as there’s plenty of creative people on Flickr, I’d be interested to find out how many are a lefty like me. ❤️

Granddaughter

Fun fact: 11% of Daleks are left-handed.

Leonardo da Vinci was also lefthanded

For some decades I've woken up with a song in my head, and usually, I've whistled it at least 'till noon :)

This is today's song:

Wolfsheim: Kein Zurück

A bit better day by day, the new painkillers works, a lot of (almost unexpected) help these days. Who knows, maybe it's like driving in the UK, and I'll become lefthanded :)

And only five more weeks to go with the plaster :)))

Now to learn how to play it. One photo a day. (20/366) -- January 20, 2020

Clausiliidae, also known by their common name the door snails, are a taxonomic family of small, very elongate, mostly left-handed, air-breathing land snails, sinistral terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks.

Most species of Clausiliidae have an anatomical structure known as a clausilium, which enables the snail to close off the aperture of the shell with a sliding "door".

Removing the Glove is a short play about left-handed people but is really a clever allegory about homophobia toward gay and lesbian teenagers in high school.

The Drury Drama Team of North Adams, Massachusetts was one of the first groups to perform this important work.

It was performed at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska

International Thespian Society Troupe # 5135. It then went on the road to schools in Western Massachusetts.

The author is Clarence Coo. He was a college student at the time.

I'm finally going through all the old tubes of watercolors I've collected over the years, including many inherited from my mother, and seeing what I have and what condition it's in. The chemical data sheets for cerulean state that it ' tends to granulate or become chalky in watercolors' and indeed what's in the tube is not the usual sticky mass of dried paint but rather a crumbly powder. It is a fabulous color, and a tube runs about $12 so I'm trying to figure out if I can reconstitute it. I used it here for the 'sky' but it did not apply evenly nor in a proper watercolory manner.

This is a past self-portrait from my Daily Portrait Project, in which I made a non-photographic image of myself every day for three years, from 3/15/07 to 3/15/10. Soon they'll all be loaded on flickr, you can find them in this set: www.flickr.com/photos/juliakay/sets/72157619599543783/

The first year of the project is now available as a book: www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/2418516

My Exakta VX1000 is nice, it has a WLF (waist level finder), it is beautiful, it is weirdly lefthanded. Unfortunately, my Oreston 50mm/1.8 just died: it only operates in full aperture mode. I'll get myself another one, and I'm uploading the results of the broken one.

Today sounds like this

‘All the right handed people are as dumb as dog shit’ that’s what someone said to me as I sat doing this drawing. It had to be a compliment, because I’m left handed! Ha ! Ha!

Pensive glance being lefthanded has an instinctive ... tendency to "slide" very slightly his photos to the right. As with everything wrong with him, it proves impossible to correct! Usually visible only with photos of graffitis and constructions!

This picture is dedicated to a very courageous boy named Findlay, who's going through some really hard times now. So please support him with your positive thoughts or a small message or, as creative as you all are, with some nice picture ! Let's just put a smile on his face !

Yo, Findlay, you will go the distance - and you're gonna be a greater fighter than Rocky ! I'm absolutely sure about that and I wish you all the very best !!

Exakta Varex VX is a 35mm film SLR camera manufactured by Ihagee Kamerawerk Steenbergen & Co, Dresden, former East Germany and produced between 1951-56.

www.ihagee.org

Johan Steenbergen, a Dutchman, founded a camera company called Industrie- und Handelsgesellschaft in Dresden in 1912. The name was shortened to Ihagee (based on the German pronunciation of the acronym IHG, ee-hah-geh). In 1918, six woodworkers joined Steenbergen at what was known from then on as Ihagee Kamerawerk Steenbergen & Co.
