West High School Street Lights, Victor St.
January 28th, 2014
Torrance, CA
Brighter, more energy-efficient LED lights now illuminate the section of Victor Street that more than 2,400 9th-12th-grade students, parents, and faculty use to attend or access the West High School campus on a daily basis. Neighborhood residents are benefiting from the new LED lights as well!
As part of a pilot project to test energy efficiency and light quality, the City of Torrance in early 2010 converted conventional 150-watt HPS cobrahead streetlights on Victor Street to more energy-efficient LED fixtures. The four HPS luminaires at the northern end of the street were replaced with LEDtronics 50-watt LED Cobrahead fixtures.
Four years later, those Cobraheads were upgraded to LEDtronics' newer-technology, more efficient Modular Street Lights!

Santa Monica Pier
November 15th, 2012
Santa Monica, CA
Finalized in December of 2012, the City of Santa Monica funded the LEDs project with a $668,000 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) award from the US Department of Energy. For the project, LEDtronics provided:
-LED Light Bulbs, S14 Style for the Looff Hippodrome.
-LED Post Top Lights in a pendant style with mogul-base fixtures for the outdoor, rest area.
-LED Post Top Pendant Lights for the Santa Monica Pier Boardwalk.
-LED A19-Style Bulbs were used in the hard-to-reach, beacon light fixtures around the Pier's perimeter.
"The old, fluorescent lights on the Pier burned out, left gaps in the lighting and were in a difficult area to maintain," states Matt Henigan, City of Santa Monica, Office of Sustainability and the Environment, Energy Efficiency Engineer. "With the new LED lamps in place, maintenance is minimal, and we have already reduced energy consumption by over 30%. And because the LED lighting is directional, it improves safety and enhances the Pier's appearance without causing light pollution for local residents."

Food Depot
August 6th, 2013
Louisa, VA
A grocery store in Virginia installed our high-quality LED T8 tubes into their freezers. Our 5-foot bi-pin LED tube lights fit into standard G-13 bases and are designed with a smaller tube diameter to accommodate the space inside food coolers and freezers and display cases.
Additionally, the minimal lamp heat output of LEDs over that produced by incandescent lamps keeps temperatures inside the coolers and freezers optimally lower. That means the LED tubes save on display case and freezer air-conditioning costs. As well, with their much wider ambient operating temperature and humidity ranges, the LED tube lights have a greater performance in cold freezer-type applications where fluorescents have high failure rates.
These premium-grade T8 LED tube lights are ideal for food industry refrigerators, coolers and freezers, deli cases, floral refrigerators and coolers, office lighting, general and street sign backlighting, task lighting, under cabinets/counters, display cases, interior design uses, and retail store displays.

Pasadena City Hall & Civic Center
January 17th, 2012
Pasadena, CA
As part of the general project to implement pedestrian and transportation enhancements within Pasadena’s historic 1920s Beaux-Arts Civic Center, metal-halide lights were replaced with approximately 90 LEDtronics 27-watt post-top lamps along the streets surrounding the recently renovated and retrofitted City Hall building, most prominently along Holly Street.
Subsequently, LEDtronics LED lamps were installed in newly erected fixtures or had replaced existing street lights in the city’s eastern neighborhoods—Lakewood Place, Carmelo Avenue, Del Rey Avenue, Dudley Street and Mountain Street. By summer 2012, approximately 200 of the LEDtronics post-top LED street lamps had been installed around Pasadena, replacing the now outdated 100-watt MH lamps. This represents an estimated annual energy savings of more than 75,000 kilowatt hours, based on 10 hours of nightly operation.
