This is the house I grew up in. 1130 North Bundy Drive. My folks sold it about 10 years ago (we lived there for 20) and now it has been sold again. This time it was bought by actor Peter Galleghar I heard.
It didn't look like this when I was growing up - they redecorated quite a bit!

There is ample evidence that we are still a nation at risk. Our schools are clearly not producing students who can keep the nation at the frontier of science and mathematics. Immigration is dropping rapidly. We need radical reform of our science education and I will describe "a plan".
During his talk, Dr. Lederman listed some scientific attitudes that we should strive to have our students develop through our teaching:
A blend of curiosity and ego
Humility in relation to heritage
Skepticism about the universal validity of what has been learned
A liberating sense of freedom to question authority
An open mindedness towards new ideas
A confidence in reality
A faith in the ultimate beauty and simplicity of nature
A requirement for diversity in minds and cultures that have made science

Hi Rick:
I am one of the Temple Israel Hebrew teachers who stayed after the concert for the lunch. My youngest daughter, Meghan, (curly hair, big time) asked for a photo with you, because the day of the concert was her 11th birthday! Then one of my older daughters, Jenny, had a discussion with you about playing the flute. Her photo with you is also attached. As an aside, my eldest, a junior at Univ. of Mich, with a huge music background, saw the photos I posted and asked all about you....She is involved in trying to expand the Jewish music program at UM's Hillel. We have a need in our community for musicians such as yourself, who give more than a "performance", and, rather, share a true love of Judaism, of kids, and of music. I hope you enjoy the attached photos and we hope to see that some made it on your website!
B'Shalom,
Sheryl Lederman
