Notice the "floating" acoustical panels at the ceiling (like leaves).
The "dancing" green panels of glass and irregularly spaced vertical mullions were inspired by the trees at the edge of a forest.
At the main entrance to the school the floor, walls and ceilings are "pulled back" to reveal the inner workings of this highly sustainable school. An interactive "green kiosk" touch-screen is located in the middle of the wall for students and visitors to learn more about the facility. The glass floor reveals the steel rebar and heating lines otherwise hidden in the concrete floor. The glass walls reveal insulation, electrical wiring and floor heating tube manifolds. The glass ceiling reveals a heat pump that moves energy around the school.
