At the main entrance to the school the floor, walls and ceilings are "pulled back" to reveal the inner workings of this highly sustainable school. An interactive "green kiosk" touch-screen is located in the middle of the wall for students and visitors to learn more about the facility. The glass floor reveals the steel rebar and heating lines otherwise hidden in the concrete floor. The glass walls reveal insulation, electrical wiring and floor heating tube manifolds. The glass ceiling reveals a heat pump that moves energy around the school.

A variety of acoustic ceiling treatments keeps things interesting!

A variety of flooring types allows for a variety of activities (sitting on floor, wet & messy play, etc.)

"The Perch" is a glass enclosed flexible learning space that projects into the central School Commons from the second floor. Curtains can be pulled to visually isolate the room from the rest of the second floor learning space.
